Default page changes

Hello,
I have 3 pages with links: people, places, things.
On each page there is a different graphic which repeats people, places, things in cursive.
It seems that whichever page I save last (ie: things) the other 2 pages also say "things"
On my page (in BV) however the correct graphic is displayed.
Any ideas?

www.artelicious.com

I still have a lot of work to do but you will get the idea.
Thank you,

Hi Terry, I'm wondering whether you are experiencing a similar problem to the one that I encounted last week. Check out this thread and see if it sounds familiar. http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/sav...ananigans.html

Could be, but it worked fine for several days. DId you look at the site? Maybe it's just my computer?
I have also used Navals suggestion for a script to get the Thimbnail images to open as a sized pop up. That also stopped working, now the large images open as a complete page.

Thanks for replying.

It seems that rather than images showing as pop-ups they are opening in a new window. But there does seem to be a problem with pages getting mixed up. I got confused as everything was opening in a new window - ended up with about six! Sorry I don't know how to help with the script.

I found this problem when publishing the navbar because when you publish the navbar it uploads the same name to public_html folder whether you had changed it or not its best to use different buttons in this case when useing the navbar or having the same buttons on each page.

upload the first page and its bvnav1.gif

then if you change the buttons names or colors and use the same buttons or difernet rollover for second page.

upload the second page and its still named bvnav1.gif

its a major issue but you can get around this.

There is no problem with buttons or links. There are 3 pages/images which say people, places, things which are placed just under the nav bar (on different pages). If I open those the pages in BV and make a change and then save/publish it all e pages will say whatever was last saved. If I open my places page and make a change and then save/publish it my people & things page will reflect the change also but only on the image that is just under the nav bar. Everything else remains correct. Wow, I'm not sure I understand that myself!

I see what you mean - I think you need to do a support ticket - cuz that's not right.

But while you are changing things - it's bad form to have pages on your own website open in a new window. I'm one of the people who leave places that do that. Always make sure that if it's a link to elsewhere you have it open in a new window so they can get back to you - but changing pages in your own site, they aren't leaving you. Just a suggestion!

Sadain!!!
You are correct! Duhhh...At 3AM I finally figured out that I had a 3 images with the same name but in different folders. That's why I could use the same name for 3 images.
Thank you....

I am still having the problem generating pop up pages. I use the code that NavalDesign gave to me but no pop up results. Instead I get a whole new page.

Nyoman,
Yes, I use the code, changing the sizes/names to fit my usage, ie:

<A href="#" onClick="window.open('http://www.artelicious.com/xxxxxx
.html', '','width=650,height=450'); return false;">

without success. I enter this in the "before" of the html of the thumbnail to bring up the order page.
I have this code stored in Notepad.
Thanks for your help.

[What i gave you was not a code for a pop up but the link to a popup generator. it's here: http://www.berm.co.nz/popupmaker/ If you go in there and set the parameters that you want for your popup, it will provide you with the code to put in your page as html box. Maybe you should visit it again.

Thanks for your help.
I see why you can not use my code because you want to open popup from rollover image and the way i mentioned in the other thread will not work in this case. OK please ignore my first tips and here is the easy way to do that .just place the code on your link and all will work ok
Code:
"#" onClick="window.open('http://www.your domain.com/yourpage.html', '','width=300,height=220'); return false;"
change the name page and the size according your need
if you are using Bluevoda eliminate the first " of that code because will be added automatic by BV itself make it like this
Code:
#" onClick="window.open('http://www.your domain.com/yourpage.html', '','width=300,height=220'); return false;"
example: if you want to open www.example.com/page1.html in popup window, in the link field you type #" onClick="window.open('http://www.example.com/page1.html', '','width=300,height=220'); return false;"
Please note, this is will not work on preview in browser and only work when you publish your page
TRY!!!

Nyoman,
You are a BIG help! Thank you. The code worked fine.

Naval,
I tried using the generator but I also needed to have some text links inside the pop up and couldnt figure out how to do that.
Thank you very much for the help. I am sure that i will be able to use the generator in the future. Thanks!
