Thread: Lost blue voda files on Hard disc

Hi all

having a little trouble i turned on computer to update my website with bluevoda, only all my files are gone for each web page i designed, is there anywhere i can go get a copy of these files i though i did a backup only these are gone too. I hope to God there is somewhere i can find a copy of these files as i spent hours creating all of this,

First off if you mean the bvp files try these 2 options.
1/ ( depends on operating system ) on your PC go to start, in search box type .bvp some files may appear above, once that's done click SEARCH EVERYWHERE this will search everywhere on your pc and give your the results.

2/ open your recycle bin and check in there.

If that does not come up with any result then your only option is to use the import page option from within bluevoda program.

Though i do believe that the bluevoda software now place's a folder within the Bluevoda folder Named backups which saves backups of your pages.

Thanks for that I will try it this evening when I get home. All my software is still there just the actual web pages I publish are all gone but the website is still working perfectly. Thanks again

Had no joy at all with my search this eve is there anything else i can do to find my files,
does Bluevoda have a copy of files i upload as all my files are the very same as my last upload or publish

if you have PUBLISHED. Open BV ,
go to File > New Page > From Existing HTML Page >
Check on Remote [On the internet] URL: fill in your url Click OK

If i do the above with my home page for example will the rest of my web pages be removed when i publish the home page again, sorry but im a total novice, Also my google analytics seem to be gone when i check the backround data, i know im looking the easy way out but does blue voda keep an exact copy of files i publish on the net it would save alot of work

No your other pages will still be there as they have different file names. Just as when you publish it only effects the page you are republishing.

im trying to access the files from the control panel at the min, but its like double dutch to me, is there anyway from the control panel i can get a copy of the published files on the net at the min and move them back to my bluevoda where my old files were,
