Thread: Banner question

Hi

I have been searching some threads but still need some help.

I want to create a banner to put into classified ads etc.

I made some w/ free ad designer however I cannot figure out how to put them in the ad...given that I do not know the code...

Any ideas on where to look to make my own or post the banners from ad designer?

Banners can be added in a classifieds site in two ways: you either upload the banner image on their site, and then use their tools (if they provide some) to link the banner to your own site, or if they allow for an URL where to download the banner form (as you can do in this forum for your avatar in your CP) then just upload the banner on your site, enter the classifieds site, and give in the listings page, the URL of your banner.

I would like to know what exactly a banner is.

A banner, in the context used in this thread, is a name used for an advertisement in a stretched rectangular box. If you look at many web pages you will see advertising banners of all shapes and sizes.

To use other peoples' you simply create an HTML box on your bv page then double click the sahpe to add the code that you copy from the advertiser's site.
