Default Colors are off in IE

Hello, as some of you may know I recently completed my second website ever, for my school. It looks great in Safari, Firefox, Chrome.. but in IE the colors in the banner aren't appearing right. Let me show you what I mean.

Anyone know what the problem is?

Cool Re: Colors are off in IE

Each browser and every monitor has different settings and renderings (even laptop views are different than desktop views using the same browser and resolutions, as my laptop always seems to annoyingly show edges of images ghosted rather than completely seamless).

This is why we always stress the importance of "proofing" your website using multiple browsers, but only to assure universiality of viewability, not color registrations: that is getting too picky completely! You will need to convert everything to PMYK colors in order to achieve any semblence of Tru Color composition, and even then must allow for at least 15% variance.
