Default Getting my website to show up on internet searches

I don't know what to do! I submitted my page to the major search engines quite a while ago, and I set all my metatags, and have lots of internal links, yet, when I do a search for my site on google or yahoo or msn, it's not there! This is bad for advertising, which was the main reason for me starting this site. What do I do?

    the website is www.beyondcanvas.com

    Thanks,

    Karen

I know just how you feel , it's such a waiting game and from what you have said you have done you can not do anymore other than keep in there. I did notice that your (more pictures coming soon) overlaps and your web pages seem to be rather large which is cutting off the text on the right hand side, this can be changed by going to view and select rulers, just play about with it until you get all the page in view.
Hope you didn't mind me saying that?
It's only that I had the same problem.
Best of luck with your business
PS Have you tried this tool for keywords and meta tags?

Even if they find you - if you don't have links somewhere to your website, they aren't going to give you much time of day. I suggest you look into adding a links page to your website and trade links with related websites. You might want to look at starting a blog and updating it regularly with GOOD content. You could write articles that mention your site and submit them to various places. You could join art forums and get your site mentioned there -

Basically, it's up to you now to MARKET your website. The search engines will see your name in all these places and will give you more credence.

the search engines show the sites with the most views first, and then the ones with not as much views are further down the pages,
try refreshing your page a good few times and the search engine will think its been viewed more than others and hopefully it will move up the list
    hope this helps
