    I know this is an issue in the code somewhere, but can't figure out how to get rid of it. Thanks in advance for assistance.

    ALWAYS provide a URL to the page in question, or a Domain name that we can visit and examine ourselves as we try to offer assistance!

    Looks like the "Stat Counter" code you installed is not pasted in properly ... remove ALL the code for this (since you don't need it with the AWStats in your cpanel providing you with much more detailed data), and you should be fine.
