You can't do it easily. The only possible way would be through a server side authentication, based on a .htaccess and a .htpassword based protection. But since you would have to code this yourself, it might be rather difficult.

But, why can't you make the page .php instead of .html ? in that case you can protect it with the BV built in tools.

I'm patiently waiting for the advice on how to make a .php page... (I know, perhaps I should know such things by now but I confess, I don't...) So, please, Navaldesign?

    Sorry for the intrusion

... if I understand it, can I protect my web pages by simply selecting "page.php"?

... I still need to be protected, select "Protect page" in the menu "login tool"?

... I do not need to enter PW?

... what protection will I get this way? my page can not be changed from the outside?

    Thanks, Giuseppe

No, you need to protect your pages using either the "Single Page Protect" tool or the "Page Protect" tool. Please not ethese two tools do different things.

Yes, but you also need to take also other steps, as per Tutorial. Did you read the Tutorial insrtuctions ? Please read again http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/blu...-tutorial.html

Pease read the tutorial, it is explained there.

Maybe you are confusing things ? No one can change your pages, unless he has access to your hosting account.

However "Page Protection" doesn't mean protecting the page from changes, it means allowing access to the page (to see the page) only to those users that are registered and have the correct username / password.
