Thread: Problems uploading.

Hi, when I try to upload a page in BV it either takes 70/80 seconds or freezes up & closes down, and then wants to send a report saying this program is not responding. I tried to re download BV, but still the same problem. I noticed the same problem with uploading to some other software that I have on my site as well. (this is on a broadband connection)

it sounds like it is timing out.

Hi Brad,
I tried taking the time out up to 4mins, still the same problem plus I am on a 2 Meg connection. It seems to stop & freeze when it gets to part of the file that says, publish/iscookmenu.js’ then everything freezes in BV & then have to shut it down.. I can transfer using FTP but it doesn’t convert the bvp extension to html.
I sometimes get the error 220 come up. It feels like something is stopping/blocking the access.

What exactly are you trying to upload and how big is it?

Just a single page with a couple of Google ads. Don’t think it comes to more than 130Kb.
Have also had the same problem trying to upload to an image to the header on a forum that I will have on the site. Have taken a snapshot of the report I get back on BV the link below.

Ah! Found it Brad.
For some reason my network card or router is causing the problem, yet it still lets me use the net for other work. (Strange) But as soon as I used another card & router, everything’s fine. Oh well! Back to work.
