Still having trouble creating a static background

I've gone through the threads and found a code and added my own http link:
<body style="background: url('http://www.onlineresearch4u.com/images/11adsenseecover.jpg') no-repeat center fixed;">

is what i ended up with but when I place that in any number of html spots in BV the image background disappears.
Right now I have removed that code completely and used page properties to install image background as shown:

and of course the background is NOT static as expected. Any help here appreciated.
This page may go live but at the moment is really only a background testpage.
As an afterthought, should those brackets be in the code?

If i am reading this right? You need to place the code as
<body style="background: url('http://www.onlineresearch4u.com/images/11adsenseecover.jpg') repeat center fixed;">
Under View>Page HTML>Between the head. & paste it in this area.

Why can't you make the background static by simply selecting, in Page Properties, Formatting, -> Fixed Background ??

I've belatedly noticed my link included the phrase no-repeat center fixed; whilst yours was repeat center fixed;

You can also set repeat or no-repeat through the Page Properties as per my previous post.

Of course I must add that this is valid for the latest BV version. Version 11 doesn't support all of the above settings.

Good question. Have I the latest Blue Voda? It doesn't seem that long since I downloaded the latest. According to my computer's CP I have Blue Voda Web Builder 2V2G whatever that is.

Latest version is v. 12

In this version you can set the background to be fixed.

To see which version you have, please open BV and click on Help, About BV
