even i understood most of it
thanks
james

oh beth just a quick question in the wrong forum i know sorry ... but how do you get your pages to fit the whole screen instead of what mine look lke when i set to 800 and centre. the reason is i am opening a new site for designer jewellery and need the pages to be wider like yours but with no side scrool
thanks in advance...
james

James,
If you see my sites whole screen, it's only because I make my sites at about 1000 width instead of 800 - which means people who still have the 800 width have to scroll. But people with 1024 and above (about 80% + of internet users) do not. It is still not full screen for any of the resolutions - just wider.

If you want your site to be universal with no sidescroll, you'd have to keep your 800 width in BV.

Thanks, Liz and Paul! Good thing James bumped this post!

HI Beth
Thanks for the info. I think i am better keeping it at 800 then instead
but it leaves not much room for other related products on the add to cart page but i will live!!!!
If you have any other fanbtastic links hiding up your sleeve then please drop them down as its like having a birthday present early... and so much fun to do and add to the site makes it look so much more professional.... well i hope
thanks beth your a gem!!!! i'll give you discount on my website... if you like jewellery that is. (it's coming soon)
James

Ditto Beth, my site is now on the second page for the word 'Anxiety' and the first page for so many key phrases, the sites above it are mostly goverment or charity sites that I will probably never be able to compete with. So anyone who has a chance to read Beths e-book, do so, its a great place to start and learn.

This is also a good chance to bump this post up, some excellent recources above.

TY Andy and Paul - you are both superstars in my book - and have done such wonderful jobs with your own sites - people should look and learn from them.

SEO isn't really hard - it just requires some homework and applying the right information - which is actually always remembering who the site is for (and it's never for ourselves).
