I'm sure someone will tell you how to do that - but - if you don't put the url anywhere - like you just did here - no one (including se's) will find it. :) However, the sooner se's find it - the sooner you'll be able to start seeing traffic from them when you're ready.

Click how to password protect a directory found in the link here in my signature ... you will be wanting to password protect your entire public_html folder until you decide you want the public to view it, then you would remove the passwording, etc. A tutorial is available.
