Thread: Redirects

Can someone please briefly explain the redirect in the cp? Or give me a link that does. I don't want to know how to use it but how it works and the purpose. Thanks a bunch!

Hey!

Let's say you have (2) domain names. You own the following:

- mydomain.com
- yourdomain.com

You only want people to go to the website yourdomain.com but many people know already about mydomain.com, so what you can do on cPanel is reDirect people who go to mydomain.com to yourdomain.com

Also, instead of having an index page, you can save your main page as let's say home_en.html / home_en.bvp (the _en means english for example) and make it re-direct so when people just type in yourdomain.com it will bring them to yourdomain.com/home_en.html
