Thread: soho c-panel?

Is anyone oneeles having problems with thier c[panel in soho? Every time I try to click on anything in there I keep getting this message from Internet Explore that this page will not work properly it is not an object or null. What should I do? Thank you

Have you ever updated your store? Webmaster Icon, software updates, update to the latest version

You also need to click the question mark, and click the second tab IT and run all the diagnostics and fixes there.

Yes I was in there and got the same results, also am waiting for soho people to help with template builder help. I recieved answer to my ticket and they said they summitted a ticket to soho because they could not help me with the problem. I wonder if my whole soho c-panel is not working right. Also can I switch to blue vista web builder if this keeps up. Thank you again Karen

You can switch to Blue Voda anytime you choose to, however, you wont have the cart capabilities that you do with SOHO. You will have to build your own cart.

My guess is that you have tried to customize something and its interfering.. or you have a bad install of soho. If you can wait til thursday, you can email me your cpanel logins and your soho logins, and I will see what I can do with it to fix it. You may need a REINSTALL, meaning you need to remove current installation, and reinstall it. First Id download the products you have in there so they could just be reupped and id copy the image folder and rename it so that you wouldnt have to do all that work again, and do the reinstall. I also have a script to run that can RESET it and reattatch the database to see if that fixes it.

One time offer only... next time its a $100 to go thru and fix it. :)

1) Browser security settings, make sure that they are not too high.

Thank you for your suggestion I have the cleaner down loaded and use it all the time but still have the same problems, before I lost my first web site I used the old softare from soho and had no problems but when I started using the new soft ware thats when the problems started.

Karen I do not seemed to be able to get a email to you with the information you wanted. I tried a couple of times and it keeps coming back as not able to send.

Well I totally give up. I got the template builder now and now I cannot edit my pages I am getting the same problems I was getting before All saying this web page will probable not work right.

Ok Karen I am sorry but I quess I am to dumb to do this. I thought this was an easy site for beginners but I quess I was wrong. I am in tears because everyone said this was an easy site to set your web up on. I do not know how to do every thing and am embaresed to do this. I will not bother you again.

If you cannot figure out how to email her, then maybe this really is too difficult.

I am NOT offended by questions. What I get offended by, is only getting the complaints and when I say I will help you.. and no email, or not link to your site, and then you complain that nothing works and nobody is helping you... well then, that puts it back on you.

My intention isnt to make you cry, but to get your site built. I cant HELP you if i cant see what is wrong, and you wont give any other info. Trust me I understand frustration. Its just as frustrating on our end, when you complain, but dont give any of the requested info to help you.

Ok Cabbot.

I just logged into your store, and it is fine. Its functioning fully, and I had no problems anywhwere with the cpanel. I changed the text on your home page and left a message there for you.

You need to do the tutorials. I think you are also confused about adding the products. You need to go to the shopping cart to add products. First build your categories, then add your products and assign them to the category. That means that you tell it which category to appear in.

Now you can go out to your main menu and drag and drop products to your page or or link up to your shopping cart, or build each category page and drag and drop your SHOPPING (products) to the page. Yes they will appear in two places then... your actual cart, and your outer pages.

Do each tutorial, until you understand it. And actually do it on your soho pages. Then view your website. You will start to understand then. Dont worry that you cant just build it in one day. Give yourself some time to learn. I didnt learn all i know in one day...its an accumulation of years in different fields. Website building isnt learned in one day, and its not possible to learn to use everything a builder is capable of in one day. Youve done a wonderful job with your template! Most people cant do that! Not starting out anyway! So see? Youre way ahead there.

Do the tutorials, watch and do them at the same time. You can pause them, find them on your store, apply it. Restart the tutorial, then work some more on your site. Do one a day if thats all you can manage. Ill bet in two weeks, you will have a better understanding and wont be nearly as frustrated.

You have to learn to walk before you can run. If you get stuck, email me, ill try to help you as I have time.

it is very slow downloading of soho cpanel. How can solve it ? also takes long time to saving the changes

Make sure you have the latest updates to soho as well as your java, and computer updates. That does alot to speed things along.

Maybe its not on your machine. It doesnt come with windows, and this might be part of your problems. Make sure to say ok to automatic updates as well.
