Default folders I have under public_html

Hi, I was not able to access folders I have under public_html.

It used to be that I could. But all I did was delete the files, then reupload again. Then the 403 forbidden code appeared. I checked and my folders were indeed still under public_html.

I checked my SmartFTP, clicked on the folders, and I noticed the comment: "Client Closed Connection". Which means I can't access it.

Is there a reason why? I've checked that I was online all the while. I can't figure out why.

Pls help.

U should be able to access it via your "File Manager" in the control panel

I just view your recommendation below and was wondering if I were to change permissions in CPanel, would that stop the 'mysterious changing' of some of my webpages I've experienced in the past? I've been using bvwpb only all this time. The change I was thinking of would be to UNcheck the WRITE box and/or change the number from 755 to something else. Would that fix the problem? Thanks in advance.
