Thread: Password Protection Confusion

Hi,

I'm Confused! I have one folder password protected (www.domain.com/protectedfolder/). Under that folder I have two other folders (www.domain.com/protectedfolder/folder1/) and (www.domain.com/protectedfolder/folder2/). under folder1 I have another folder (www.domain.com/protectedfolder/folder1/folder1-a) When I go to folder1-a it tells me to login (all fine), but from there (in the same browser window) I go to folder2 and it asks me to login again! This would quite annoying to a user navigating through the site. Does it make sense???? Would there be a way to change it?

Hi xlr... No need to be annoyed because... If you password protect a a domain or a particular folder ..all sub directories i.e. or folders inside that domain or folder will require a password login... pages don't ... folders do...Hope that helps... Doug
