Exclamation Help with to add files to non public domain

I've been looking at the videos and user manual but it just confuses me. Could someone give me a simple way to do the following:
    (1) I have completed my pages and published them to make sure the links work. But I want these page(s) to be protected unless some one "buy"my site. Everywhere I see is the public folders. Where do I copy them to in order to do this.
    (2) Do I have to delete the publish pages first?
(3)Do I link from the sales page to the site with BlueVoda? Or is this something I do with PayPal.
Thank you in advance. I'm really stuck.

    2. not sure on the question.
3.Do I link from the sales page to the site with BlueVoda? (What site)

    Chris,

    1) My question is how to do this (create a private password protected site - you know in 5 easy steps or whatever is involved.) The tutorials just confused me.
    2) I published my pages from the bvd site so they are sitting in public view. Do I delete these before I save them to the private site (which I'm asking in the "how"question above)
    3) my website is http://www.spanishverbsmarthours.com
the "sales page" is at http://www.spanishverbsmarthours.com/1.html
I have the button in for Paypal but after the customer pays how do they then get to the secure site?

Please help. We're probably 2 of the few people still awake. I'm am sooo close to getting this up and running.

    Thanks,
    Kim

Question Re: Help with to add files to non public domain

    Chris,
I just went back into File Manager and realized I could make one of my 3 question more direct. When I go to create a new file, the screen pops up with it's location in the public_html. Where should it go if it's going to be secure?

    Hi kim

Just a quick rundown on what is required:

    1)
public_html = index page (intro and link to paypal page/buttons)

    http://www.spanishverbsmarthours.com

    2)
    public_html/protected = protected directory:
(folder/directory to publish all your protected pages)

    3)
paypal clicked and client pays at paypal (paypal sends client back to protected directory) http://www.spanishverbsmarthours.com/protected.html

(Not 100% secure as not all payments are cleared straight away)

    Alternative to 3)
Paypal sends client back to public page which notifies client that password wil be sent by email.

The best solution is a php script which automates everything above.

    This is embarrassing...

Sorry, I did that but can't find where the protected folder lives.

Also, automated sounds great...what is php script?

Also, stupid question how do I move the files there, do I do a save page as from the bvd file. Of course if I could find the folder, I might know the answer.

    Please bear with me,

    No problem Kim

If you have created a new protected folder then use your bluevoda
ftp(file transfer program) or your file manager in your cpanel to view it.

Lets say that you have created a new folder/directory called
    protected
and you have saved a page called erverbs

to publish your page to this new folder/directory you would enter this in the publishing dropdown box:

    public_html/protected

then to view this page on the web, the link would be:

    http://www.spanishverbsmarthours.com...d/erverbs.html

The dotted letters are the word /protected

The step you are missing Kim.. is that you have to MAKE the file folder in file manager. Then take the steps to protect it and make it password entry only. Then publish the page to it.
