Thread: What's the opposite of Cpanel called?

How do you call other hosting that don't have Cpanel? I'm referring to the one who doesn't have a public_html folder.

The opposite of Cpanel is call lenapC..........................just kidding.

I think you may be talking about soho which is an online builder!!

If hosting doesnt give you a cpanel.. they give you an admin area to manage your site. This is also referred to as cpanel .. but it really isnt a true c panel.

No, There's a lot of hosting without Cpanel like godadi, ipower and 1&1. Instead of uploading the files on public_html you will need to upload it to the root or "/" folder. Yes they are a lot cheaper but you will waste a lot of time because you need to upload everything using ftp. They also got someting like fantastico that install automatically but it's write-protected and you can't edit it.

Its just an admin panel. Or I guess some call it.. Account Manager.
