Ok, created new folder in /public_html called "Retailers" - which shows up with the little lock icon on it. Published page called "Launch" to that protected folder. It shows up in my BlueFTP manager. So when I try to go to http://www.sinkdrink.com/Retailers/Launch.html, I get a 404. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance. Been a long day and my little brain is fried! |

Its giving me a login box. I think you are viewing a cached page or something. Says im not authorized if i clear out the sign in.. so it appears to be working.. at least on my end Karen

Well this is strange. So I retried it, and the box asking for a user/pass popped up. So I enter the user/pass and get a 404. Then I retry it and some funky version of the page pops up without asking for a pass. When I type in the url without the .html, I get the 404. With the .html, I get the funky version with the nav buttons as boxes with "x" in them (like when a picture doesn't show up on a page). But the nav buttons work! |

Seems ok at this end. Might be worth adding a simple user & password so we can try. You can delete it afterwards.

The login worked for me, the reason your images are not showing up is because the page is looking for them in the wrong location. Did you publish this to your root directory and then move the file to the retailers directory? For instance the Launch.html is looking for your logo at http://www.sinkdrink.com/Retailers/bv01107.jpg and its actual location is http://www.sinkdrink.com/bv01107.jpg

When I published it, I published it straight to the directory. So when the "publish" box popped up, I published it to "public_html/Retailers" instead of just to "public_html". I realized that I have a page called "Retailers.html" as well, so I made a new password protected folder called "Wholesale" and republished the "Launch.html" page there. Same error. So now, to get to the messed up page, the url is: http://www.sinkdrink.com/Wholesale/Launch.html That all make sense? User/Pass still Blue/Voda |

And did you publish that page to "public_html/Wholesale"? or to "public_html" and then moved it to "Wholesale"?

I know it is in the directory, but if you published to the root the images the pages uses will be in the root. If you just moved the file afterward it will not update the web page with the new path to the images. If you published directly to the directory from BV it should have gotten the path to the image correct.
