I have set up several ftp accounts for my subdomains and don't know how to instruct my web developer how to login.

At the top of the ftp account page is states that they must use the entire id name: example@mydomain.com and the password I established.

I went to my cpanel login and this info doesn't work.

Where do they go to login?

your webdeveloper cannot begin with the ftp. He will need FULL access to your site. ftp just gives him ftp folder access.

Just to clarify, if I want my developer to load files into my subdomain or addon domain, ex: public_html/subdomain, he will not be able to do that using the ftp account that I set up for that subdomain?

I will need to provide him access to cpanel using my login?

If not for this purpose, what is the purpose of having other ftp accounts?
