    Default Naming another page.

    Hi again,

    It's me, you daily questioner.

I have my main page (index) up and running and I must say your site is amazing to work with. However, after watching the tutorial I still don't understand what I need to do to name and then link to a second page.

Basically, I want to put a text of "Other members" on my main page and then make it clickable to another page with their names on it.

Could you give me an easy step-by-step example of how to go about this?

    Thanks,
    Tom

P.S. I'm sure more questions are forthcoming and I apologize in advance.

Seeing as nobody answered, I'm guessing it's a slow time.

I think my problem is that the new page is assigned my actual URL, and I am still under my temp.

I'll wait one more day....72 hours.

You name your second page in this manner. www.yoursite.com/secondpage and then publish it.

You create a lnk from your first page (either by using a menu bar or navigation bar, or just by hyperlinking the text). Where you enter the address of the second page you would type http://www.yoursite.com/secondpage.html

Clicking on the hyperlink will bring up your second page. It is really easy. I don't understand what you mean about temporary sites - you have to be using your real domain name to get this to work. All pages must be published in order for the links to work.

Let's start supposing that you have created another page for the names of the members, and you have saved it in BV as : "other_members".

Place a text in your first page, like "Other members". Select it and highlight it. While it is highlighted, click on the link icon (in the same toolbar as the text tool). When the "Insert Hyperlink" popup opens up, type in the URL field: http://www.yoursite.com/other_members.html

Replace yoursite.com with your actual domain name, and "other_members" with the actual name of your second page, whatever that is.

Look at this tutorial to see how to hyperlink text: http://www.vodahost.com/DemoDemo/bvt..._hyperlink.htm

What I meant by that was, that my "purchased" domain name isn't active yet. I am still using the temporary URL to view on the web. I'm sure once my actual domain is active my other pages will work.....at least I hope so.

    Thanks for the help all,
    Tom
