Thread: My Site is Busy

My site is fairly new, I still have lots of work to do and I am fairly new at the whole computer/internet/webworld. I am thinking about having a dial-up option for my site as I know it is animated and busy. See what you think, my sister LadyEye, said I should give the "reviews" a try. Thanks to all. I'm a bit scared.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR SITE....HOW WONDERFUL....it's freakin' awesome...lovethe music and each page very uunique and fun...I really had fun going through...I cna see you put a lot of thought and had fun doing this. NOw just one thing...laoding bit slowly on pages with pics and I have pretty fast access. You might want to resize the picture ..use re-pixsizer...

ps. Too many Active X pop ups. There is something malicious in your script.

I will work on the active x, I am concerned about the malicious script. How do you know this? Where is it exactly?

Click on the image, not sure why the pirate window pop ups.

Do you mean, I should change the wording of this no right click script or the script itself is doing something malicious to others? You are very good, how did you do that? I put the right click in because I wanted to protect a couple of pages with some of my pictures. I thought pirate was appropriate, since it is a costume website. Do you find that it is offending?

I am glad you submitted your site for review! You have totally worked hard at it and you are very very creative, very very artistic and you can definitely see your love for costumes and the industry by the amazing site you produced and continue to add to. I can remember when you first ordered your internet and called me with the question "Now What Do I Do?" lol, You've Come A Long Way Girl!!

I know you are aware of the load time on some pages, and I know too that you are going to spend another huge amount of time making a little more user friendly site, cudos for you!! And Good Luck With That!

In the meantime I want to say that the wait for the pages to load is truly worthwhile if you have any passion at all for costumes, creations, etc. The music you have chosen for your pages fits to a tee, my favorite the song on the halloween page. You site is fun, informative and entertaining for all ages. And it is Bootiful!!

Ok, did you do that on purpose to prevent someone from copying your images ?

Not offending at all, don't worry about that, I thought it was an error on the page as if it was trying to point to pirate costumes.

1. how did you get music on your site

2.also, how did you get that thing that tells you how many people have visited your site

I got my statcounter for free at www.statcounter.com

The music is all midi's, do a google search for midi's, click on the midi to play it, if you like it, save it to your harddrive.

Then on the webpage you are designing, right click, page properties, background, sound, then browse your harddrive to find where you saved your midi and insert it there.

Be careful about some midi's, my suggestion is to scan for viruses etc., take all the precautions to protect yourself. If you aren't finding some midi's let me know and I dig through some of my favorites to find you some links. Have fun, stay safe, happy surfing!

This is a neat website.. Looks and feels very dynamic, but done very smartly.. The site is not that busy at all actually.. Goes to show you can achieve so much with little accessories if you have a thing for web design..

Midi.. Even though I'm not a big fan of Midis, there are times when they can go down well.. this is one of those times.

Side Scroll.. Maybe the page size needs to be slightly adjusted so that the side scroll goes.

Love the pics.. the site has a 'Halloween Theme'.. but does that change depending on the season.. Do we see bunnies jumping every where just before Easter..?? (I'm a big fan of the Gothic Culture so the site would still look good to me as it is even during Easter)..

A 'contact us' link has room on the Index Page.

But most of all.. The flying wizard is mighty awesome.. specially that he is told to stay on top of all pages and would still be flying around even if you are browsing the Pope's website.. (which could be confusing as you wouldn't know who's who..).. There's my stab at the pope.. haha.

Over all.. this site is fine'n'dandy... Nice work.

It's an option in the control panel of your guestbook costume lady .... you add your url to your main page or wherever you want them to go ....
