I love the dark Blue. very nice :o)....but did you realise you still have the bv logo buttons as the mouseover on your menu on that one?...

It looks like you might get a variety of opinions here. :)

I personally like the second one better... with the white.

But I like the font that you used on the "Blue" one better. I think the "white" one you have Georgia/Times as the font??... looks nice and fancy... the way the site is laid out, I'd go with the blue page's font.

I'm not a fan of using those BV buttons... you probably haven't gotten around to adjusting the "mouse over" buttons on there yet (the blue page). looks kinda funny. But I do like the way they are on the white one.

Honestly, the white one looks better to me, although it is kinda plain in comparison. Maybe if you added something to the top banner... kinda like THIS... might be cool?? :)


Just as a side note, be careful of your page width... it's running >1000px so you might want to widdle it down to <900.

Both pages look very nice though. I look forward to seeing the final product.

I like the blue BUT the White one says 'Journal' to me more than the other. Both are nice and I have to agree with comments above.

Just getting around to looking at some sites after a couple of months. I love the blue color. Gets my attention right away.
A couple of changes you might consider:
1. On the info line in the header a portion of the font is red which is hard to read.
2. On the web design page towards the bottom a line was overlaying another.

Of your 2 examples, the blue is more eye catching, but I feel that perhaps the red type on grey background makes the page look more "serious" .
But I really like George Hester's suggestion.

Why not try the GH method together with the buildings outline, that you have on your blue page.

Come to think of it the font size on the blue page, and the banner height, are larger than on the white page. That's not really a fair comparison, and probably why the blue one is more eye catching. It's a bit like comparing 2 sets of audio speakers - the louder ones sound better.

Very professional looking examples. Have you got the dreaded disease called "I-have-stared-at-my-web-pages-for-too-long-and-I-cant-make-decisions-anymore-itis"?

OK, Now I'm confused. Are you looking for a choice on the two pages given, or the samples supplied on the second page? (Is it just me - it's been a long day). It was all the talk about the dark blue that got to me (I liked that as well)
Of the two pages given above I like the first one best, if that's any help, but I don't care for the mouse over colour - it either needs to match the heading text exactly or contrast.
I like the photo a lot, and the layout is nice and simple.
