Thread: It has an owl!

Hi all, I don't suppose you're interested in the long and painful story of the evolution of this site! But I'd be very glad if you could pop in and have a look and let me know of any weirdnesses (apart from the owl, that is!).

-At bottom of the page, "Leo Graphic Design...." the second line is cutoff.
-Consider a new Home page, your art work shows us that you can really create something exciting.

Awww I totally love the design! superb galleries as well! Only thing I would suggest is to centre the pages!

yup i agree with bill the second line is cut off, and i agree with a new homepage. but looks good owl isn't weird my wife said. cause she loves owls especially snow owls. oh yeah the my deviantart isn't working get page cannot be displayed must still be under construction.

Thanks for the tips, guys! I fixed the "cut off" line although that was more a design mistake than a real cut off And the deviantArt link is fixed, thanks for pointing it out!

Not sure what you mean with a "home page"? Do you mean a page that isn't a blog? How to I pursuade wordpress not to load first when you access the domain?

Okay, "cut off" line now really is fixed. I hope!

And after a bit of tweaking, the pages are centered ... not the galleries yet, I have to rewrite the easy BlueVoda to less easy CSS to match my stylesheet - will do tomorrow...

Thanks! Mmm, I haven't ever quoted in dollars before ... depending on what you want, $50 to $70, I'd say. If it's really simple, it could be less. Mail me if you're interested - leodesign@telkomsa.net .

Thanks a lot for all the nice comments! All your feedback makes it worth while to keep tweaking and making it better!

I've added another gallery with examples of my more "professional" work and I've also decided to make a "gallery" page with a list of links to the various galleries. This is easier than manually updating my navigation bar on every page every time that I add a gallery. You'd think I would have thought of that when I started! The gallery pages are now also using a stylesheet same as the blog.

I realized last night that since I started working on this, I haven't played a single game ... not Solitaire, not Freecell ... no Oblivion even! My computer must think I've had a personality change!

Owls are nocturnal, right? So the owl is now sleeping...

If anyone is interested, I made some thematic changes on my site ... it's still awaiting a new home page (next on my to-do list!) but meanwhile I created a new wordpress "theme" and matching set for the galleries. I figure I'll have themes to match my mood or the seasons or something.

Or do you think it's a bad idea to change the look of a site often? Any advice would be appreciated.

At least this time round all the links and content should be undisturbed, it's just stylesheet changes.
