Thread: Need Some Feedback

Hi to all

Well I'm new to building websites and for the past few months on and off I've been busy building my VH/BV website. In 2007 I am hoping to really make a go at my company and I will like to use my website a one of the main marketing tools.

If you'll be so kind to review www.keeptrackconcierge.com and give some feedback and/or review, it will be appreciated.

I may be having a moment, but where do you show how much you charge.

As well as no pricing - you have a sign up page that you'll charge people for without them knowing what any of the packages included - let alone cost. Every one of those packages needs a page with complete details (as well as price) of what it entails and specifically what area you cover. Are you going to run errands for me in Alabama, USA???

You need to do major search engine optimization work - which will start with changing all your page titles and descriptions.

I think you have a very viable business idea here - but you need to make the website work for you and the sooner you have it up with all the information and optimized - the better off you will be in 2007 when you are ready for it. It does take time to get the traffic.

First let may say thank you for all of your feed back to-date and for the grade A from (clanffa)

With regards to the price, the dillema is to show or not to show the price; some concierge companies show there prices and the others don't and therefore I chose for the latter. Upon your feedback I will look into this matter seriously.

It is my goal to service persons in Holland, but also persons planning to come over to Europe (mainly Holland) and need assistance (those are the international customers). I will look at my wording to make it clearer.

(Bethers), regarding the search engine optimization, how does that work and where should I start?

ok, first things first, i am a designer and have to comment design wise.

ur concept is good, but the front page, u have made a quite large table. u will c what i mean if you change ur screen resolution to 1024 or in 800. other pages are fine. and yes, u have not mention ur total membership fees.

I've changed the resolution and hope this has caused the front page to look better.

As to the pricing - you can't ask people to sign up for something you're charging them for without it. If you don't want to put your charges there - then don't have the sign-up and basically you're saying you simply want people to call for services.

If you want to take advantage of the fact that people online will sign up directly from your site- then you have to have prices. And much more detailed information.

Hi Bethers

Thank you for the SEO tips, I've printed out and will read it tonight. With regards to the extra details, I changed the services page abit to read 'click on the services for more details' I have a feeling people were not pressing on the links to find out more about the services themselves.

Regardig the prices I will figure a way to show them.

I did click on the services pages - the information there was not enough for me to know what was in the packages that you are trying to get people to sign up for - You need those packages specifically detailed.

I didn't have any trouble finding the info.

Went ofve site and can only say that I ditto the above and best advice is to listen to Bethers. You cannot just try to work in the prices...if you can't I have some work here in Mexico for you, as you site looks now you do alot of great things for nothing.

I've made some changes to the front page and was wondering if you would take a look. I am hoping the page is finally centered and I also put the full name of the company at the top and put the fonts in the buttons smaller.

With all the great information and tips I got, I've done some upgrades to the website. Regarding the content I still need to do some more work on that but in all things are coming alone a lot better than before.

Good work, some tweaking is in order:
-Looks like you squeezed the Voda logo by sizing from the corners, use PixResizer for a better output.
-Some of your pages are off center.
-Seems you are using a logo on a few pages but not on your home page. A logo can lend identity and provide the elegance your services provide.

Thanks for the tips and I will definately take them on board!

On the prices page you haven't got links back to your other pages.

Also, you really need the home page and some of the other pages to say exactly what region/area you cover.

What a week it has been!

I started out with a website that had a good feel, but was quite lacking a lot of necessary information for the site to be effective. With all of your input I was able to take it to another level, one I am proud of.

From centering the pages, making the site more SEO, adding a logo, price page, going to www.widexl.com to findout how effective the site was ... etc I once again invite you to visit my website and give feedback.

I have a few comments on your site. I would have to say that the black background around your service links draw away from the professionalism you are projecting (in my opinion).

Also, is it possible to line create a fixed postion for your link buttons? They seem to shift after leaving the home page. I for one actualy change the position of my link bottons from the home page but that is due to design layout. As you can see the change is dramatic and clearly intentional. The shift I noticed between your pages comes across as mis-alignment again a small issue that is betraying your professional service.

Lastly, I love the design of your banner rotation on your affiliate page, however several of your graphics are pixelated or streched. Also, this page requires the user to scroll horizontaly and from what I have learned this is the "holy grail" of no'no's.

I hope this infomation is helpful to you and does not seem overly critical. Just trying to assist you in making that "first impression".

Thanks for the feedback! I also didn't like the back ground so much on the service page, but before I didn't think many persons would recognize that they could click on the four services. I've changed it back and see how things will work out.

About the affiliate page thanks for the tip, it took me some time, but I believe the scroll is gone or atleast that is what shows on my computer. Also I've changed some of the pictures, especially those that showed to be overly stretched.

Lastly the link button, you are correct they do not align with the Homepage as the two templates are different. Unfortunately if I change anything they entire layout will have to be changed. The if the door was not there on the Homepage I would have moved the links!

Overall your comments were not overly critical and I was able to utilize them well.
