After seeing so many posts regarding

Forms - databases - membership programs - subscriptions etc

I decided to see if I could produce a simple to use program that
would embrace all of the above.

Any feedback and comments would be welcome................

David, you did a great job on my website! There was a lot to do, connecting to paypal, the survey and other things. My site looks great and is up for business thanks to you. You presented a high level of professionalism and expertise. I reccommend your services to everyone that needs to get their website up and running for action on the Internet. Great job and thank you!

I tested the panel seems easy but on the adding of customer on each one name, last name, user name etc it has update next to each field is there a way to place 1 update button so you dont have to keep clicking each one individually? also noticed in the dropdown box there is no username in the box. but i like the looks and ease of it.

    Jim:

Have fixed the dropdown box contents......well spotted my friend.

The panel has a complete form to ADD NEW details and normally admin
only needs to UPDATE a single field, hence the individual buttons.

If admin needed to update the WHOLE record, then it would be quicker to DELETE the record and then ADD NEW details.

Dont forget Jim that these records are entered originally by the new member
    when registering.

I will however, start to look at alternatives.

Thanks for taking the time to review the site......................

    David-
I am just starting to get into DB stuff. Currently trying to master flat files (CSV). Lots to know. I comend you on your efforts to help many in this area.

One of the things I noticed was that the fields are named with in the field. This is good until one messes up and incounters an error. The error message will say "Please go back to so-and-so filed and correct your mistake. When you press the back button- there are no field names and therefore- you might not know which field to correct. (This happened to me)

Additionally- I would walk the user through the intro to data bases, and what you can do and provide instead of having it all together on one page with the reader to figure out where to start. It was a bit confusing.
DB stuff is daunting and if you want people to be interested in it and willing to attempt it with you- they will need to feel that your method is simplest. Walking them through it step by step will require more pages but in the end I think it will be be more effective. Give real life examples one at a time so they can experiment with it and feel comfortable.

Nice bit of work though. A little more development and you could have a real good thing going here.

    Cheers my friend!

Hi David! Long time no talk to! Well, I guess I'm not up on the database, members, etc. forms. I went to your site and got totally lost. I did see the search panel and I like that, but other than that, I guess I don't know why people want these things. Obviously not something I use or need...at least I don't think so. But leave it to you to help others simplify their lives. Even though I dont understand what this is all about...I do thank you for all you do on these forms. And I agree...Scuba's site looks great and well as your others! Keep up the good work David! One of these days, I'm going to row my boat over to your place...if I get started now maybe I'll be there by the year 2020!! I'll keep looking at your forms site and try and understand what it is about! lol

Bravo David- much eaiser to follow and experiment with. Just need to ad a line or link such as....

"Now if you need something similar to this- it's easy. Just click on the link below and we'll get started with your database set up........."
Because after playing with the forms/database a little, I was really excited and wanted to know more on how I could get this set up for me- but could not find a way to a home page or information page.

David- I am really interested in applying something like this to my web site. I will contact you via e-mail.

    Again- nice job my friend!

    Hi DreamLady:

Nice to hear from you again. Happy New Year.................

Thanks for your comments on the site.

Andy has made a good suggestion, which I have just incorporated, so have another look and things might be a little clearer now.

Basically, If any one has a site where they need to collect data from their clients i.e. Contact details, sales info, register members, poll info etc.....
Then a Database Management System can not only send you and your client a copy of the information received by your form, it will also store a copy of the info into a database which can then be Viewed, Sorted, Edited, or Deleted from a Secure(protected) area on your website.

Take your time and have another look and let me know your comments please.

    have fun
