Youve kinda put the CART before the host so to speak. <PUN> You should have decided what cart to build with prior to now. You can salvage this by using Beth's Cart Manager, or one of the freebie ones like paypal or Mal's Ecommerce, and copy and paste the code buttons in.
I noted you advertised for cc, do you have a merchant account? Or do you plan this from paypal? If you use paypal, might as well use their button system as well.

I'm not Karen - but would like to comment here.
The first thing I see when I enter your store is "Thanks for shopping with us, come back soon" - that space needs to give me information on why I want to be here and shop - not thank me for something I haven't done yet!
Where you have
"Hello
Wecome to .... etc"
You need to change that to be a headline of what you have - let me know I've gotten to the site I want to be on.
And if you have any questions on CM - feel free to ask me!
Beth, I do have a couple of questions about CM......i'm kinda stuck

Ask away - or email me at beth @ moxie-enter-prises.com
I can't answer from "i'm kinda stuck" lol - a little too general.
I have built my pages first and am now working on a shopping cart. I need to know if there is a way to use this page as a checklist sortof and then put one add to cart button at the bottom???

I am trying to use cart manager and I need to figure out if these radio buttons or check boxes will work on this.
thanks bunches

You've got a good start. I don't know if you are selling the insert or the frames also..cuz the frames looks (not all) as if it were placed there over the " place you favorite item here" like some image framing software, maybe it is the lighting. The color lavender for text doesn't work for me, it is nice but not for text in IMO and there are two different colors of text on your " about us" page.
Making
Askin me wut i think is a dangerous proposition! :)
I think your purple flowers are a bit too much at the top and that header area needs to be smaller. Its taking up too much real estate that you could be using to sell with.
Id like to see your 'Great Stuff' so I know what you are talking about when i get there, and right now im not too sure until i read and browse around. So you need some visual pictures of GREAT stuff front and center.
As for the cart buttons.. I think you need two tables there.. One for each size, and then the variations under it, and then two add to carts. Look at Beths Achildspalace.com on some of the bedding pages to get an idea of what I mean, except yours would be two.
I think that smaller pic at the bottom with the single lilac would make a GREAT header!
Over all youve got a great start and have the right idea, you just need some tweaks and rough edges knocked off.!

Karen suggested you look at my store - I'll give you some different pages so you can see some various ways I've done them differently -
Here each product has it's own buy button with nothing fancy:
http://www.achildspalace.com/kidsthrows.html
Here you'll find a page where I decided not to do that and give them 2 places on the page to order by selecting the design:
http://www.achildspalace.com/kidsplacemats.html
Same idea with more variables:
http://www.achildspalace.com/personalizedplacemats.html
By the way, I had people tell me customers wouldn't like this and would prefer having the add to cart with variables on each picture - but I've gotten nothing but a good response and these 2 pages have a very high ROI.
You can't do it however, with products with lots of different variables - and those each have their own product pages - for example:
http://www.achildspalace.com/buddydesk.html
The great thing about BV and using it in conjunction with CM is that I have the freedom to do all the pages differently - and to make each page work the best for what that page is selling.
Now, for your sports page, you'd want 2 drop down menu's - and you wouldn't need that page. They'd simply have the first drop down where they choose the team, 2nd one would choose the size - and look how much more compact that would fit!
Hope this answers your question.
Those are beautiful and stunning pages. I'm so new at this I really appreciate the advise. I'm going to work on my sports page, I understand your suggestion but I can't figure out how to do it. I did finally figure out how to do the other pages. Look now at www.makingreatstuff.com/baby_boy.html
I think it looks good but How do I change the font color in the html section?
I'm wiped out////////lol lol......

You did a good job with what you did figure out. Many would still be cross-eyed trying to do what you did. To change the font color on that, you have to do it by editing the html code that you were supplied to add there. Look at the code and you'll find a part that looks like this:
add in the color as I did below in red to make it easy to see, using the code for the color you want:<td><input type=checkbox name=APPENDITE****5000 value="|<BR><LI> 8x10 with wood frame 15.00|15||||||||||||||||| 8x10 with wood frame 15.00"></td>
<td> 8x10 with wood frame 15.00</font></td>
I used a code that makes it blue, but I don't know if you want blue or if it's the right blue. :)<td><input type=checkbox name=APPENDITE****5000 value="|<BR><LI> 8x10 with wood frame 15.00|15||||||||||||||||| 8x10 with wood frame 15.00"></td>
<td> <font color="#0000FF"> 8x10 with wood frame 15.00</font></td>
thank you for the kind words. I am still cross eyed!! For some dumb reason I can't make a working drop down box.!!!!!!!! ggggrrrrrrrrr!! I'm working on my sports page///////
thanks

Drop down box in CM? If you need help - and wait till tomorrow - I'll work on it with you - it's really quite simple after you get the hang of it - but I remember my first time :) - I was cross-eyed, too.
hahahaha = tomorrow will be fine........thanks and I'll wait to hear from you then......oh, where do I get those font color codes??? I did use the one you gave me and it looks good...thanks

Beth, I'm going to get confused on here now with 2 of us Beth's - it's such a good name.
You can get the numbers for the colors you use in BV from the color box - but to get the codes, you need to take those numbers to a converter - I use this one: http://www.trainingtools.com/Resources/Color_Chart/
I'll have some time tomorrow afternoon - email me (beth @ moxie-enter-prises.com) and if you have MSN or Yahoo IM - send me your name and I'll add you and we can do it there. If not, we'll figure it out! But that's the easiest way.
Hey Hey Hey..............I figured it out........oh my gosh............ i figured it out!! You will have to check it out...........

Looks pretty good huh???
I tested it and it actually works...........he he
can you tell that I am pleased??
anyway I really appreciate your encouragement...

Wooooooooohooooooooooooo - great job!
But - you can't read the blue on the top one with the burgundy background - might need white text there - or a different background.
Now, another suggestion - all those links to see the individual pictures - you want those to open in a new window. Unlike links to pages - those are to product pictures and you want them to be able to stay on the order page and look at the product pic at the same time.
(Don't you hate that I'm giving you more work.)
And, yes, one of the things I love about CM - you can test all those links even without publishing the page - if you take the page to preview - those links will work if done correctly - so you can test each before you publish!
Beth.......thanks for sticking with me and getting me through this fun but hair pulling out experience....
are you thinking that the large individual pictures are set up wrong or that there might be something better to do with them?
That is what I was thinking but once again I'm not sure how to execute it. So are you sayignt that I should put an add to cart on this individual pages too>>>???
thanks

Beth,
The pictures are fine - don't need separate add to carts on them IF you have them open as pop-ups - since all the purpose of them is to see the picture in a larger size.
What I'm suggesting is they open like my placemats do: http://www.achildspalace.com/kidsplacemats.html
Click on any of those pictures - the picture pops up in the larger size - instead of replacing the window you're in - so you keep the window to order and just look at the larger pic.
Oh ok I see ............soo the question is, how do I do that???/
Hello all!!!

www.makingreatstuff.com
On the pictures - did you put them in using the gallery feature? If so - go into the properties, find where it says target - and select popup.
If you used the image feature - go into properties, find target and select blank. The only problem with blank is it opens an entire full size page - pop up on the gallery feature will open a window the size of the larger pic.
Hey Beth,
I did redo on my baby boy page all the pics. I made gallery images for them and then did the pop up feature. And once again you are right it looks much better. (www.makingreatstuff.com/baby_boy.html). So I will work with the other 50 pics (yikes) and clean them up. I do need to tell you that your buttons on your site are adorable. The little flower is so cute. Are those type buttons on blue voda in some hidden compartment? haha. I keep finding hidden places to do things and make changes. Do I need to cancel or delete the pages that I don't need anymore? What are the benefits of leaving them or not...........thanks so much, I owe you.................

Hello all!!!

First, aren't you just publishing the page right over the other with the same name? If so, you don't have any pages to delete. If you have them named differently - then at some point you will want to go in and delete out all the pages you aren't using - especially if you published them (you'll have to delete them out of your control panel then.)
Those little flower buttons are my own. You can make your own also - then you'd have to change the code in the html. I, now, when I start anything with them, make a button and name it something (even a generic one) so that I put it on all my add to carts. Then I can just change out the button any time buy giving a new one that name and replacing it :)
I like them using the pop up feature!
Yes I am republishing the pages/ but I have all the larger view pics on their own separate page that I made links to and since i'm doing the pics different then I shouldn't need the separate large image pics right?
Beth

Yes, you can delete out their own pages. Sorry, I misunderstood that before :)
Hey there. Boy you were right. A lot of work is putting mildly. I still have my big sports page and one other page to do. But I do thank you becuase they do look better.
thanks again
