Am i ready to Launch my site yet ????

Well, we have taken on onboard all advice weve had and tweaked this and that and we feel we are almost there ! We have a few forms to finnish and a couple of pages to link, but other than that have we cracked it this time round ?

If your site is the one that Bill has mentioned above then it looks good. One thing i did notice was that the page seemed to load a little slow, some of the pictures particuly. Also the pictures to the top of the page seemed a little blurred to me probably from where you have stretched them to fit too much. Try using vodas pix resizer to correct this problem. Apart from that it looks good. good layout and content

If you mean the bridal pic's then they are blue voda templates my hubby assures me and apparently not alot that we can do about that ! or can we ? Thanks for feedback much appreciated.

Karen, have had a good browse through your delightfully presented Wedding Stationery Site.......looks good, and I like the colour.
Tested your contact form, it need a security update, but its working OK.

All the links work except for the "BESPOKE" button....no joy there I´m afraid.

Bit of detective work trying to find your page. Anyways, good work.

Things to consider:
-That header: combining upper and lower case can be successful, comical or confusing. All depends on what you are tryig to communicate. I was looking for a hidden anagram. Also it is not center with the text above or the rest of your content.
-Watch your grammar, commas and period and use of caps is very importnat in your opening sentence: "Firstly Congratulations ....."
-In the Style Section, not sure what the first font is as a big balck rectangle covers it.
-Might want to move "Terms & Conditions' to the end of the NavBar, leave the good stuff that sells upfront.

Congratulations, your site looks very nice and the pics tell the story best.

Forgot to mention, watch your page titles "Term and cond - Microsoft...." could be rewritten to "terms & conditions your domain"

There is something you can do with the 'BV template' images. Right click on the template and 'return to its original size'. The clarity will return, but it will reduce the size of the template.

You really have a great site, but the skewed images detract from it.

I also agree with what Bill said about the mixed case 'Urban Couture'. This can be done correctly but not with just using plain black text. It doesn't look like it is a finished logo or that it belongs on your site.

Also, bottom copyright information should be 'Couture' not conture.

I keep checking this and it appears to come up ok with both variations of the spelling and i have also looked at other sites and they seem to spell this the same way ! Fried brain with this one LOL :)
This spelling thing ! Has been going on for months now, just checked the Oxford dictionary and its ery at last !! You star thanks at last ! Ime not realy that dim LOL :)

Thank you for the compliments on my site... which still has a long way to go but I am getting there.

NO my products are not tested on animals. I do all of the formulating and create everything in small batches. I finally found out what a kitchen was for! All this time I just thought it 'came with the house'! LOL
I also make sure that my suppliers have strict 'no animal' testing policies as well. I am a big animal advocate!

I would be very interested in UK distribution. I need to get the site finished and a few other things crossed off my to do list and then I would be very interested in speaking with you about it.

Are you using a Template designed for osCommerce, or are you trying to merely swap out images and elements in the generic foundation? There is a big difference between them.

If you are using a purchased template, the detailed instructions are included with the download in a ".txt" file.

I have managed to make the script work again. by the reset button at the bottom of the page on the tools/file manager/includes/languages/english/index.php and have chaged the text in the script from there, which as I understand it is the way that it said on the front page when I downloaded it.

is that wrong? one other thing is the a way of saving my catalog? do I need to just download that file and up load it again once I have re installed it.

I have been to the forums that you mentioned, and as a first time user it might as well be written in Swahili... but will keep look.... do they do a OS for dummies book??

You can download to your computer your "Catalog" file via the File Manager/FTP tool in your VH cPanel before deleting your installation, and merely "upload it" again to your new cart. (That's one of the great things about a php written utility: they are looking for "files" to action and not just single elements, meaning the codes look for titled "mini-databases" and they can easily be swapped out).

Can anyone please help me i have to amend the spelling of atationery ! again Aaarrghhhhh ! Hubby has gone to bed, but i have just been notified by one of the sites i have advertised on that the keywords on home page i have made spelling error ! I thought that i had to go into blue ftp and change it on the index clone page and publish, it shows up ok when i check on preview but when i go to aol its the same ary !!! Help !

Why don't you change it on your Blue Voda index page and publish from there?

And if you've republished, but it's not showing from AOL - I suggest you clear the cache as you've been instructed. If you have trouble - close down AOL and restart it - it seems to be pulling up the old page.

Thanks for that will have a go at with Aol but not sure about the other without my hubby here as each time i have gone to index page it doesnt show up at top of page only when i right click and go into html ! and when i try to delete the letter it just bings at me and nother happens, although saying that i did manage to change 4 or 4 in that page ! So not into pc's other than em's certainly learning bits this month though ! So is that where i need to go ? right click into html ?

Hi Karen sorry for the delay in getting back to you I was out this morning.
I have had a look at your index and can't find any reference to the banner.
When you get a chance try opening a blank page in BV, open a html box, right click on it. click on "properties", paste the html code from my page into the custom HTML box. Preview the page and see if the banner shows. if it does just copy the HTML box, and then paste it into your index or links page. If it does not show up, let me know and I will find another way to get it to you.
As soon as you can give me your banner I will put it on my site.

Similar colors to the website is no problem Karen. I will give you two logos, one that is a gif (transparent) so you can use it on top of colored sections in your website and a jpeg (with a white background) for use on stationery, business cards or anything else with a white background. I will get both of these to you soon.

yes Karen, thank you! I still have a lot of pages to publish and will have most of them fixed this weekend.

Regarding your BV page: Open up your BV website builder and open up your index page. Look for the text box at the top of the page with stationary in it. Double click to allowing editing, highlight the word and then retype stationery. Save and republish your page.

Ok I think that we are almost there with this ...!
The site as it stands is how we want it to be presented to go onto the web. Please note the quality of the foto's i am aware of this and will be employing a pro to do the set/shots at a later date. I have a good fuji - user error im'e affraid! Still have to publish forms etc and we are currently working on themtrying to perfect. So what we have done i feel is complete.
