Looks good but the page did take a while to load on my pc. Yu should think about optimising the pictures. Try using voda's pix resizer. Also the main content seemed to be pushed to the left so i would try centering it or pulling to the left. Other than that good content and reckon could be a good site, just a few tweaks needed

Thats strange cause on my broser it is centerd ,
the loading yes can be a wile, but resizing the image
in what, size or pic quality???

It’s always nice to post the link as a clickable right here in the forum, it helps everyone to get to your site quicker.

On that note, your link to your site should really just read

(You can remove the index.html) from the link here and from your page …

that page simply needs to be called index, saved as index, published as index
you will then just see your url without the addition of the extras (just looks better too)

The reason this is recommended is, internet viewers are all viewing in different screen resolutions. So the ‘800 width takes care of everyone. You will need to resize your images to the '800 width as well.

Your background fills in around the sides of your webpage, equal on both, if you tick center in browser on your page properties.

I notice on your Welcome … you have it spelled Wellcome … you might consider fixing that …

Perhaps you could add as text, the information contained in the welcome as opposed to it being part of the image ….

i'm personally still getting the option to scroll right as your website appears to be over the 800 standard. What size screen have you got?

You need to think about the people with lower spec than yourself.

Just move everything to the left and recenter...

My Monitor max resolution is 1280x1024 and I have centerd the all page...
as for resizing to 800 etcs..etcs...I will do that once and for all...hehehe!
As for the pics, its a graphic site, so its suposed to have related graphics on the main page, Its my work, so It got to be there, maybe after resing to the normal page site will get better...

As for the wellcome...ooppss...

Hi there everyone,
I've been studying a diferent way of aproach the Images
on my web site, and I've noticed that the first thing that
loads up are in fact the back ground borders that I've
made using the Voda Site Builder, so also tested it without
the Borders and actualy it loads a lot faster, another thing
is related to the page recomended resolution, I just can't
change it , since its a graphic Show and download site
If I get it under the 1200 it will lose impact and also you have
to realise that I'm not selling any goodys here guys...LOL

The site's content its totaly free, and its related to graphics
so this turns on the kind of People that go's thru there,
However I will optimise a lot by taking some stuf and change it a litlle..

This is a great place, a recon that you guys have a good costumer service
but also recon that You mainely thing that everyone that by's your
services is selling something and are trying to load the site with
visiters and possible product consumers....No Ladys and Gents, thats defenetly not my case...

But never the less I recon you're right in some off the pin pointed isues
over the loading and stuff loading time...

As for taking the Index.Html. from my net adress, I could learn that how to!!!??

Don't have the idea in how to do it!!!Advise and guide lines would be apreciated!!!

Well I am not quite certain what you have done ... but seems that you don't really have an index page as such ....

I assume this is the main page of your site http://www.jcwolfworkshopbdu.com/Index.html

So whatever .bvp file that you made that has this content, you should rename, resave and publish as index - only the word index ....

Sorry did checked what you've said and everything reloads the same way,
do know why, but it keeps going into the album page...

I've tryed including to desactivate the album and the redirect but than I thought I never done any redirect...

This is getting confusing and Rather anoying to me the time I'm wondering around the Index and the album "living room"!!!

What Voda Server are you on? Perhaps you are on Voda 7 which is undergoing a changeover right now, this would mean your changes won't show through and you really shouldn't make any until the full change over is in effect.

If you are not on Voda 7, opening up the page you call Index (the one with the capital I) and renaming it to index (small i)only should fix the main url problem ....

Is this your only domain you have with Voda??

So if its Voda server 7 I should wayte than...

Have a look at that thread that I just posted the link for ... you will see the generals notice, and check the 2nd posting I made, it will give you a link so you can see what server you are on. You simply match the ip address that you publish to against the voda server numbers (Found in the pop up box when you go to publish a page, or in your welcome email) ... this will tell you what server you are on .... The General had asked for a couple days to make the change over, so if you are on this server perhaps this is why your changes are not happening ...

The only image that I had noticed was beyond the '800 width was your very top banner, it was 1200' wide ... (apparently it's only about 20% of the internet viewers that still remain on '800 resolution, so it's not too bad to go outside of this, the next recommended width is 1000' and some are now using that) It just depends what you think really ...

If you are not on this server, we will have to see what else may be going on ....


EDIT: It actually looks as though you have been making changes ... just save your Index page as index (with a small i, instead of a capital I) this should fix that problem ...
You banner is now 988 so seems you are going for the 1000 width, that's fine, it looks good with your site ....

(Need an o at the end of Hello and two lls in welcome again)

You may not have a signature if you are not a paying VodaHost web hosting customer. All websites that are linked in your signature must be hosted on VodaHost servers.

Your sig is too large. I had the same problem once and in the end just decided to stick with text links. Don't keep addidng it back on as you'll notice your warning meter go up with a comment from the mods or admin.

Go to high on that meter and i think we may not see you for awhile on the forum.

Ok guys I do understand sig rules and any place rules,
but just as a coment my sig is lower in Hight then yours for example and as it concernes in withe is still not as much as yours for example,
but that is no problem, I'll change it,

As for the Videos,
I was wondering if I can add a Video that starts the with the
same speed as the Voda introdution video for example,
most of the test videos I've made, are sloww to start and not long then 5 Mbs...

The video method you are referring to that is used by Voda is I believe an .swf file ... Meaning it's a flash presentation, and they do load very quickly and play through without buffering, (pauses in video, etc.)

So with that in mind, unless you have a flash program you may not be able to do this ...

I believe a member on here, Aliens Anonymous has a flash program that you can try out. Let me see if we can grab his attention and perhaps he can provide you with some good sources and information for doing this ...

I'm wayting for a video making, and its around 5 mbs lenght or duration...
What I whanted realy was to be able to add the video in a way that started as fast as the Intro Voda Video on the wellcome Voda Host page...

I understanded that for that I have to edit the video to Flash, but untill now haven't been able to localise a video editor that could actualy save to flash format...

I work mainely with Vegas 7.0 and Ulead VideoStudio 10...

Depending on the video files you have, like holly said they would have to be converted to a flash file, to do this you will need a converter program which might mean spending some money, mind you alot of good programs will let you download a trial version for free i done a quick search and found thie one sounds quite good and at $49.95 is not going to brake the bank http://www.flashvideostudio.com/index.html you could try doing a search for a free one you never know. i am going to download that and try it out, i will let you know if it is any good later.

Ok i have checked it out and the program is well worth the money it is quick and easy, it also has effects that you can add it the video. when you have finished publishing your video you are given two files your flash movie swf file and a html file, if you open the html file with a text editer you will find the <object> code which you will need if you want to put the movie into your own pages.
so if you you don't mind $49.95 i would go for this, but make sure it will convert your type of movie file first. this is some info from there help file.

It worked and made it apear over the web site ok, and fast , however there is a problem, a Flash watermark logo is on top of the all movie, how can I remove that with this Flash studio, cause i'm afreid its a thing that is attached to the trial Flash studio version?

That is one of the problems with trail versions, in the full version you will have the option to have the watermark and were to put it, so i am afraid that if you like the program and plan to use it you will have to spend some pennies. the video looks very good.
