Just looking for some opinions. Someone told me it is "too busy," and the background color makes the text difficult to read. What do you think?

what purpose does the google search box serve? All it does is take people away from your site and gives nothing in return.

the google search bar allows people to stay on your site while surfing the web, you getting the money from any of the paying advertisers that are clicked on, i get around £60 a month from the google tool bars on my sites, its well worth keeping them on.
