couple of things
the word welcome has no 'L' - says Wecome

there seems to me no keywords or meta description filled in - I don't know how important searchability is to you r site, but if it is, you should fill these in
Right click on any empty place on your page and go to the metatag tab and fill in keywords and description

only other thing is that the text is so light I find it hard to read..

I love the 'new look'...

I also found the page loaded slowly for it's size. Maybe resize your picture sizes as your family pic is actually 716x527 and are using it at 230x315 on your page (this will help load speed).Your Online Network Of Friends seems to be right aligned???

On a personal preference note, I'm not fond of "counters and stats" especially
on a neat site, which yours certainly is.

Really nice site youve got there
But have to agree about the brightness on the yellow text.It was a little to bright,and difficult to read.

Only me again I should have said this in my first post that my site is about 80% done my forum needs to have topics and my home page needs bits and bobs added and so does the announcements page..

Hi good begining - couple of suggestions in page properties center your pages check center in browser - give your pages a title
on the page with the pictures of the babies - did you consider using the lightbox effect - might be cute keep up good work

I did take another look.And youre of course right,there is no yellow on the page.But the light green.
And it was just the text wich were difficult to read.The part were it says Welcome to....

Just one thing bugging me... What's with all the domain names?

Firstly if you own babychats.co.uk then just typing that in should get your homepage but it doesn't? You shouldn't need to type in index or kezz/index etc etc.

Also sometimes your domain name changes to http://babychats.jobsatjobsearch.com...uncements.html

I don't get why the 'jobsatjobsearch' in the middle?

Sorry, just being nosey... plus just worried that the SE's will be able to make sense of it too?

Good site...great colors but text could be a bit darker for ease of reading. I think you have the makings of a great site and have several friends who have jsut had babie so will reccommend to check out your site. Good job and Good luck with everything.

In regards to so many domain names lol well its doing my head in if i'm gonna be honest with you lol My main domain name is jobsatjobsearch.com. babychats.co.uk is an addon domain... But you are right you should beable to type in my babychats.co.uk and my home page appears some where along the lines i'v done something wrong maybe you could help if thats no trouble..

Hi, unless there is a reason it would be good to at least get your home page (index) as the main landing page. Name it index with no other details & you will then be able to land on it via just your main url http://www.babychats.co.uk
The http://babychats.jobsatjobsearch.com...contactus.html seems to be set up as a sub domain? Or is this a franchise with another site.?

Nice clean looking site, & if kept like this, the pages will load nice & fast.

I have named the home page as index but i'v put it in a sub folder could that be the reason as to why its not working? Babchats domain is a sub domain could this be another reason? saying that my previous site you could type in babychats.co.uk and it would go straight to the home page.. At present i'v put a redirect on its silly... Hope you can help

Hi, Correct! If you want visitors to arrive at your home page, just name the index/home page as index & nothing else. (No .html or .php) Just index in lower case letters. & publish to the public_html area.

Right well i'v just put it in me public_html and its still not working... how ever you know when you add on a domain on cpanel it gives you 3 fields to fill first one being the domain name second one being Username/directory/subdomain Name: and last one being password.. Now I put babychats in the second field should I have just left that blank? I hope i'm not confusing you lol..

Hi, might need a sort out with the domain parts 1st. lol.
An add on domain would end up looking like this www.babychats.co.uk
A sub domain would look like www.mysubdomain.babychats.co.uk
I think what you may have done is created a sub domain & not an, add on domain.

I'v added this domain using my cpanel under add on domains so I know that i'v done that correct.. I know this might be silly but would I have to have an index page for my main domain jobsatjobsearch.com? as I'm not using that domain silly really I should have babychats as my main domain..

Hi Kezz, Only a thought! I believe you only have a few pages out there which would only take a few minutes to republish. I am just wondering if it’s quicker & worth asking VH for a site reset via a support ticket. Doing this will take you back to sqare one. But you could also be able to have http://babychats.com as your main site. (Let them know this at the time).
NOTE: you would loose everything that is on your server & would also have to set up the email accounts again.
Let VH know that you acknowledge & understand this if you do ask them for a reset. (Just saves a bit of time)

Hi ya thank you for your help.. I put in a support ticket last night bv have got back to me. Its was something so simple lol I didn't even know I had one set up. There was a redirect on my main jobsatjobsearch domain they told me to delete it and it works perfect now..

Hi, forum looks fine. The small text is a bit light in colour on my screen & struggle to read it. But the headings to each topic/forum is fine. Let other confer as it maybe my style of monitor.

Not only the forum but your main page as well. Specially the light green. For ex.: "Welcome to the BabyChats website"

Same feeling about the text as Chris< mr mgoo and NZBR
So although you have no trouble on your screen, it appears that others may have trouble.
I guess you have to decide if you want the widest possible audience to be able to view it.... or if you are alright with only those with certain monitors to have an easy time of it.
It has been said many times on these forums that one of the hardest things to remember when making a site, is that is needs to be constructed first and foremost for your viewers/customers - and although design is really important, it has to come second to this.
About awords.. there are several posts already made regarding this.

Nice site Kezz, but if I were visually impaired, (which I'm not, thank God) I'd have a hard time reading the small print on your webpage. Maybe you can either enlarge it a tad or bold it so it'll show up better. Just my suggestions

I agree, the text is a little difficult to read, small, light pink on a white background. Also in some of the forum titles you use "&" whereas others you use "and" thats just being picky but it looks more professional if you are consistent and use one or the other

Hi, pros & cons with Google. May bring in some money. But won’t be much until you have good traffic on your site. Some web site will earn quite well out of ads. Others just about pay for the host fee’s. Either way it takes time & traffic to get a return on your ads. There are a few on the forum that say the returns have defiantly got better over time. Its not a bad idea to build your site with ads in mind whether you use them or not. IE: leave a 610x130 gap down one side for a 600x120 Google ad. You can always fill it with your own promotional bits & bobs if not, A lot of my page templates usually have Google or some sort of adds in mind, even if I don’t use them. If you can keep them looking like the site, I think you will have more chance of them being clicked on.

A bit of the mis-spelling and syntax yet to mention: on the last line of your index intro text? You may wish to re-write it to read "We believe that we can all learn from and support each as an online network of friends, and invite you to join Baby Chat today!" instead of "I believe with everyone joining in we can all learn something new or help each other, use this as your online network of friends.."

And....on your Forum header, you need to change "you" to "your" as soon as possible!

Hi, logo’s got a nice design. Like the foot prints. Have a look at the one below & see if the text looks any better?
The image is about 3 kb now, so will load quicker. But was experimenting on getting the fuzzy edge off the text.
I may of gone a bit to far in the reduction. Help yourself to the image if of any use.

Right well i'v changed the you to your now thank you for that and I will be re-arranging the text on the home page.

As for the logo I don't see the text fuzzy I keep getting people having problems seeing my text or there's something wrong with it, I think it must be the monitors.

Hi, the logo on your site has been reduced by using the handles on the side of the image & when you view the image to its normal size it looks great. But the same image that has been reduced using the handles looks a bit crinkly around the edge of the text. But you are quite right some monitors may make it look different.
Oddly enough! Your forum signature logo looks fine, but this has been reduced using a program of some sort.

Hi, the site looks a lot clearer on all pages. The text is especially better. There are only couple of things that might be worth looking at some time? The page transitions have some of your boxes & images moving side to side when you change page’s.
The front page has a fade in effect, but the others don’t?
The Google search is only on one page?
But the style & looks are really good.

PS, one small thing! But you cant do much about it. There are things that will work in IE but wont in FF & other browsers. Like the colored scroll bars & fade effects.
