Thread: Need eagle eyes to find those gremlins...

Hi all,

I installed 4images to use for my gallery, and spent today messing with stylesheets to make it conform to my site's look and feel. It's a terrible bunch of files that I changed, and I'm sure I missed things, but I can't see them any more.

Could you wonderful people please go have a look at

and let me know if you see any weird stuff (apart from the photos and odd art, of course!)

I know of one thing already, but not sure how to fix it. In Internet Explorer I get blue borders around my images, rather than the correct green ones that Firefox shows. Any suggestions?

Very pretty, the border colors seem to change for me from blue to purple after clicking on the photos, so seems that there must be a setting to set these colors to ... they are acting in the way that links can ...

Yip, just like links, and I've killed them. :) No borders around images now. Thanks for the feedback!

I need to speak further on your site, it is absolutely beautiful, not just pretty ... I can see you have put a tremendous amount of work into things ... ecards and all ... wow ... now are your photos free, do you just download them, or was this a special previewing for us here, lol ...

Ooh, I wish I could take credit for the e-cards and things, but they come already working with the 4images installation. I suppose I can switch the cool stuff off somewhere, but I don't want to. 4images is one of the Fantastico installations and I can heartily recommend it!

As for my pics, you're welcome to download them. I'd love to have some comments if you like them, or ratings (since all that is working so nicely) but I won't even insist on that :)

Haha, the photos are free because if I wanted to use 4images commercially, I'd have to purchase a license ;)

Your website is gorgeous ... I love the colour combination and your work is beautiful ... your website kept me going for so long I added it to my favourites ... The hard work you have put in is obvious ... I know someone called Colleen Venter in South Africa? She runs an international newsletter for white shepherd lovers .... sand I can tell you I will be like LadyEye .... getting my hands on some of your ecards ... have lots of birthdays in July ...

Yes, unfortunately you need to register to comment. It's not hard, and I won's spam you :)

But hey, that's perhaps a question that needs answering. Is is asking too much from my visitors to ask that they register? I guess I'm losing visitors because of that...

Edit: I've taken the requirement off, so you can now comment without registering. I'll see what the effect of that is, if I get too many ugly spam I'll just close the comments off again. (I get so much spam on my blog, it's not funny ...)

Now I'm sorry I don't have any photos of white shepherds yet :) The Venter family name is very widespread, I don't know of any Colleens closely related to me. (It's like Smith, haha).

Had a feeling Venter in SA was like Smith or Jones anywhere else ... don't worry about no white shepherd photos there are about 900 of them in my photo gallery ... but can't wait to see some ... SA has some really nice white shepherds ...

I really love your logo .... that is something I love about this forum it keeps inspiring me to be among so many talented and smart people ...

I was wondering if you'd like a "painting" of one of your white shepherd photos? If you want, mail me a photo or a link to one and I'll run it through my amazing Painter X and see what happens :)
