Thread: Is my Site too Childish???

Hi to all,
My site is finally up, but more stuff still need to be updated....

for those doing affiliate website, will the flash movie make my site look childish?? all feedbacks and further improvements are welcome :)

I like it too. But I haven't gone to 40's yet so my opinion might be false.

I like the flash too, however, it really depends on the image you want to portray. If you are wanting a fun and entertaining site, it's fine. If you want a more professional and serious affilate site...then I don't think it is approporiate. It really just depends on the image you want others to have when they enter your site. I've seen these done very nicely with a humorous movie or flash, but at this point, it looks like your still working on the basics of your site. Coming on to your site, I wasn't sure what it was all about. I really like the singlisher and Lobang info you share. I would have that more towards the top, so that it helps explains that your site is about providing your visitor tips and info.

I like the clip and feel too ... but I wonder if it would be good to provide an off button so people can choose to turn it off as it keeps on looping ... keep jup the good work ..

Maybe you can consider focusing on a theme; so that you can make your website even better.

Not childish at all..the cartoons are entertaining...I really like the site, however it did take a couple of minutes for me to define what the site is all about. I'm from Singapore, a Singaporean, also a Singlisher....lol

Anyway, i didn't design the flash, i copy and paste (so embarrassing) from http://geocities.com/testiflash/ and i like the monkey sing this sentence ' you're rich or poor, i like you'...that's why i put up this flash....seem like this site is design for myself.....lol

for theme...hmmm....currently,i just promote things i find it useful and user friendly (have tested the products). and soon will add amazon store category to my menu list (dont know when)...

and for http://www.getpeaceofmind.com/ I think it's better to auto-center in browser so no scrollbar will appear at the bottom. I like the background...dark and mystery...your theme......hehe

Why most of money making site, their language is always not "connected". I mean confusing, just as confuse as making money. Everywhere is Lobang / holes, very bumpy. And their text font is always Comic Sans MS. Making money is a serious matter or jokes or both with a lot of Lobang / traps?

i know money making is serious matter, but problem is that not all products in cyberworld is real money making product...most are scam. i have sign up alot of sites in the pass and had cancel most of the them, that's why so call 'HOT' products are not on my website. Some really make money, but it take very long time.That is why i go into forex trading (although still loss abit of money due to Greed, Fear... :( but have start to recover my loss recently. :)

No, I am not from Singapore. It's is a fine city.
With a face like mine, probaly could get fined everyday. LOL
BTW. Be careful dealing with Forex.

Lobang is a malay word. To us, it mean best offers.

In Singapore, due to multi-racial community, our speech sometime consist of a mixture of mandarin, hokkien, malay, english and tamil. That's why i try to use this sentense 'pls excuse my English' to my opening sentence. see different between english and singlish. and we are famous with sentence ending with lah, hor, loh.... :)

I do not believe that this site will fulfill the expectations of neither you nor visitors in the layout and design scheme you have presented so far.

In any language or for any online market, websites must exhibit the refined forethought to properly serve (and convert) the traffic, and there is a vast gulf between definition and distinction at this point: it does not seem to even take itself seriously.

Make up your mind about the real purpose of the site, and make refined efforts to that end.

I fully agree with your comment, currently my website is still my 'playing ground'. when time is ready, i will do a website overhaul. Thanks again for your precious feedback. :)
