Thread: new site looking for feedback

My site is www.senseofstyle.com.au I have just changed it to a new outlay and this is my first time using vodahost. There are 2 buttons that don't work- Newsletter and Chat. Please be honest with feedback, I'm a novice

It is extrememly annoying for every link (and every page) to open in a new browser window. This is an immediate turn off, and an unnecessary burden to build into your functionality.

Your fonts in your buttons/navigation should be made smaller size (if they are at 12pt now, make them 10pt) and "centered", so not only will they 'fit' but be nicely uniform and clean.

Once you make corrections to your "index" menu system completely (font, un-check "blank") simply use the COPY icon to paste it on each page and re-publish all.

Your "Specials" text link (over the money image) needs to be corrected to "automatic" background (or transparent), as it shows up white now.

Otherwise, it shows a lot of fine attention to detail, and much effort to composing good content that should serve you well when it comes to pre-optimization!

Hi, looks well laid out & loads nice & quick. You may of pushed some of the images a bit to far on making them web friendly. Some have started to pixilate. Might be better using less, but of better quality.
The only other small thing is to reduce your images with a program & not the tabs on the side of the image. You have artificially aged this poor lady by 10 years http://www.senseofstyle.com.au/ba.jpg .LOL
You also need to go through your links 1 by 1 on every page, there are quite a few not working & quite a few pages have the wrong title.

easy to find my way around, Like Vasili I found every page opening in a new window a bit annoying.
The site loads good and fast even with all your photos, some were looking a bit pixelated, also a few of the links don't work, otherwise you have done a great job for your first site

Thanks so much for your feedback. I will make sure I attend to the issues. Some of them are easy to fix. I'll read up about re-sizing photos and hope to add some sort of chat feature or blog once I've read how to do it.

Great......now I am getting VodaWomen all flustery too.....

I wouldnt call it flustered exactly.. more like in SHOCK! Never thought id see you post that. The Mwuah was cuz.. you can teach old dogs new tricks if you beat them long enuff!
