Thread: First ever website. How is it???

hey there.... ive finally got my first ever web page going... it is a trades and services directory for local businesses to advertise with.... just started it today.. so no clients yet... but soon!!!!

Looks good.

I suggest U reduce the Welcome rectangle to the same width as your map, all in one vertical line. U should also connect your borders properly. The background color of your welcome rectangle should be dragged precisely to
the edge of the bottom border line so that U dont see any white space in between.

From one Aussie to another, maybe it might be an idea to include something about Australia on your homepage ... we know where Mackay is but you are now 'advertising' to the world.

Good website idea, and great first effort. Make sure you check your spelling throughout. I spotted one immediately on home page. Says "Disrict" when should be "District".

Great effort! Along with the above comments, check your hyperlinks on the various trades in your directory. I only clicked the first, and it opened a new tab. You (and your viewers) will want to open in same tab.
