Hi, another great looking site. Only a tiny thing, but i keep going for the text above & below the header image thinking its part of the menu. (Its got the same feel as a link)
Besides this, a real nice looking site.

    well done.

    Thanks The Shepherds,

I had a look in IE & fox and the scrolling photos are continuous (are you worried about the speed at which they scroll?)

    Hi Andrew,

Excellent site once again. You're lining them up, lol....

The text heading GANSBAAI BACKPACKERS ACCOMMODATION on the home page is a little confusing. It gives the impression that you are on the Backpackers Accommodation page. If you open the Backpackers Accommodation page, you see the same heading. See what I mean? Maybe change the heading on the index page.

I agree with Chris on the text above and below the logo-header. It gives the impression that its part of the menu.

In the url you use Gansbay; the text on the pages are Gansbaai (Afrikaans). Maybe just explain that on the index page somewhere.

Otherwise, very nice as usual. How far is that other high tech site, lol?

    Hi Tommy,

I found loads of foreign visitors to SA keyword search as they pronounce some of our 'local' words. Noticed this by an unintentional spelling mistake which received loads of search traffic (the spelling mistake is still in place LOL)

I'm in the process of removing the text heading which is being mistaken as a menu as it's dangerously close to keyword density spam.

    Thanks for the comments,

Would you consider a little scuba off Gansbaai?

Up to your usual standard.. Fantastic

Andrew I have tried twice now to email you through your web design site, but everytime I get the error box on your site but it won't tell me what the error is?
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

    Hi Andrew,

I can't add anything to the other comments if you're taking care of the menu look-a-like thing. I think its a great looking and very dynamic site. Great job!

    Andrew,
I'd love to dive there, is the water warm? In my avatar, (in Cabo San Lucas) the water was a toasty 55 deg. F. I'm looking for warmer waters!!

It's on the Indian Ocean, it's not the warmest of our waters as it very close to Cape Town which has the cold Atlantic Ocean on one side. Water temp 15-20 C and visability 10-20m (weather permitting)

That sounds alot warmer, Maybe some day I'll get a chance to come over and dive. I'll have to really think about the shark thing though.

Thanks for having another look. I wasn't happy with the fast scroll speed (and it was running on it's slowest speed) so I've dumped it for the 'book page effect' I've used before. It only lists the major browsers it's compatable with (IE Fox Opera etc) so I'm still not sure about max???

Love the pics! and slide show banner

    Very well put together.

I did find it a tad bit hard on the eyes to look at the email link for accomodation enquiries in the bottom left corner of the index page. The electric blue made it hard to read.

On the whole, the site had a nice flow to it.

    Hi Moody Mare,

    Thanks for the comments.
You're dead on, it was a replacement for showing the email address on the site and only meant to an addition to the 'online bookings' and 'contact us' and needs to be changed.

Thumbs up STOP making me want to visit South Africa!

WOW.. great site... the only only thing I wondered about was the seagull sitting on the bottom right hand corner of the font page. Seagulls are mentioned in the accommodation section which is a little more relaxing and the gull might fit that page somewhere... on the front tho I'd prefer to see one of the shark pics. oh, and love the way the photo's flip like a book ... how do you make that happen? BIG THUMBS UP... great work, can tell you had fun.

    Hi MADinMelbourne,

Glad you enjoy, I always wanted to use a white shark on the front page, but I couldn't convince one to pose' properly, I've got loads of pics but none which looked right. The seagull's time is limited and he is only there untill I get the right 'toothy shark pic'. The gulls were easy as it took one sandwich and 1/2 hour in the harbour LOL.

The pic slide shows are both java script http://www.dynamicdrive.com/

gull sandwiches??? Think I'll pass on that one.... try dangling a leg in the water for the sharks... puts a B I G grin on the jaw. Just remember to pull the leg out real quick, otherwise they'll have the last laugh!

Agree with all the comments. I think it is a great concept-its uniqueness should take it a long way.
