Thread: Need some advice

I am bringing my site http://www.beadedcustomdesigns.com back on to the web. I have made a few changes to the look - I have changed the index and links pages to new look and left the others in the old look. (don't want to change them all until I'm sure.) Which is more appealing. Also any other comments and or suggestions will be welcomed. I think everything works now.

I like the site. It's clean and straight forward; the customer immediately knows where to go. The quickiest route to the merchandise is best.

Have you considered adding a box on the right (single block or not) as per the redish border you have around the pics on the left? It might even the page out nicely.

Is the fancy text viewable to all (is it websafe)? I can see it but I have 1000's of fonts. I found the redish brown font colour a little difficult to read.

have put block around words on right side - any thing else? so far have not had any complaints about the font - it is fairly common
guess my main question is should i redo all the pages to the new format without the patterened background and border (all pages except index, about us and links)

First, I agree the grain background does not seem as appeasing on the eye.

Also, you have some great looking pieces and I find the border distracts from them.

While some websites may need some more fancy borders or designs to attract customer you don't. I think the customers will come either way, but when your product can speak for itself, why not let it.
