Thread: Need help with grammar and spelling please.

Hello, It's been brought to my attention that my site is hard to under stand and there's spelling mistakes.
Here's what the person said:
i found your website by accident and thought it to be very cute with great photos. Just want you to know thee is a lot of misspelled words and sentences that are poorly writen and hard to understand what you are trying to say. Seems like your web builder should make sure your business sounds as proffessional as they made you look. Just some advice.

I ran everything I wrote threw Microsoft works so I don't know whats wrong please help.

You are worried about some comment coming from someone with an obvious difficulty with English??

If your content passes spellcheck in Word, don't bother with idiots! You have better things to do with your time, right?

I remember your beginnings - when you did have quite a few mistakes. I haven't checked all your pages, but seems to me last times I've looked, they were taken care of. You've come a long way and Vasili is so right about the comment. I know we want to please everyone, but we can't. And if someone is going to criticise your spelling, they should make sure not to have any spelling errors in the criticism!

I did notice some errors which fall in three categories:

1. Using words that sound alike, but have different meanings, i.e, "do" instead of "due".
2. Dropped letters, i.e, "agrement" instead of "agreement"
3. Improper capitalization

I did not find the mistakes that great in number, nor were they distracting.

I believe that the reader is unfamilar with the technical terms you may be using. I believe a reader who is more experienced in your industry would not have that problem. Therefore, I would correct those minor grammar mistakes. Also, you should realize the primary problem lies with the reader who lacks you expertise, not with your website.

Thank you everyone for everything. I used spell check on my post like I try to every time and saw she had spelled some words wrong and left them. I just don't want to leave any mistakes in if there are any.
