    Hi David,

    Nice site. It's loading fast!
Don't you like using 'borders' in your pictures? I think they stand out if you do that, specialy if they are on a light background, which is your case.

    Cheers,

Hi David, ditto with above. Personally i would loose the snap view as there are two many links on the page & it gets a bit manic. The large popup image from the thumbnails is also very distorted.
Not sure If I am missing something? But how do you book/rent the apartment.

Sorry David but I have to agree that these pop up boxes with previews is a bit much on a site this size. As I move my mouse around your site these pop ups are getting in the way of what I am trying to look at.

    Otherwise nice site.

On it's way david is a great new holiday lettings website that I would love you to add your property to. It will be Free for advertisers of home and abroad holiday properties to advertise their lets. Will let you know when it's ready.

I tend to agree with you Chris, but I am re-constucting AND experimenting with snapshots and I will whittle down the links/images until I get a good balance.

The large popup image from the thumbnails is also very distorted.

Thats snapshots condensed version.....if you actually click on the link or picture you are presented with the normal full sized picture.

Prices and booking will have a page of its own, but I tend to add the link and page when its ready so as to keep the seo's happy.
Thanks for all your useful comments Chris.................

Hi, thats the one i mean. The software takes it up to a large image of 780x582 but the image is only 480x318 so its giving it a real fuzzy look.

    Cheers.

Hi, I'm sorry David! but most of them. IE: This is an original image http://www.mvpalma1.net/kichenarea_01.JPG & this is the one being distorted. http://www.mvpalma1.net/kitchen.html due to the gallery stretching it.

Hi David, I am very new at this so not sure if I am much help. I think having the pop-up enlargements only along the top and down the side make it easier to read the info now. I have a question/comment though, when I hover over the copy the word 'background' pops up in a little cream box not sure why.
I like the big photo in the middle with the text and photos surrounding it.

    Hi David,
I looked at your site, and I like the snaps but is there a way to delay how quick they came up, maybe that would help to not make it so hectic to try and read. You might have to put a note on the page to explain that they can hover for snaps. also on your 2nd bedroom page, you are getting a couple of the pics not found errors on the bottom pics and the top right when clicked comes up pixelated. Looks great to me. Looks like a great place to vacation.

I don't get to play as much as I would like, so my game is unchanging......

Your 2nd bedroom page looks good, it may be my puter but when I go to the far right pic and hit the back button it gives me what looks like a 2nd page offset down below the original header. Can you follow that or is it clear as mud.

I'm in FF. I clicked on the bathroom pic, and at the top of that pic there is the word back and when I mouse over it brings up the snap view, but when I click on the word back I get another header below the first one and the rest of the page below.

Looks like a gorgeous spot David.

I don't mind the snapshot popups, although they probably detract if you're going for a 'classy' look.
(the small snapshots on the righthand side weren't working when I looked just now.)

I think it would look lovely if your large photo in the centre cycled through all your best photos - all in the same large size - 'cos it's all about the photos in getting people to imagine themselves at the resort.

I really like the large photographs all coming up in that centre spot David. The rear view photo in the bottom right corner comes up very fuzzy though.
The 'background' word comes up again, with the new writing alongside of the thumbnails.
This is personal taste, but I would change the lovely colour on your scroll bar to match one of the blues on your site. At the moment I find it a little too purple (or you could add the colour to the site somewhere). Perhaps the blue in the deckchairs. Before you change it though I would love to know the colour code.
The other comment I have is also my own taste. What if you changed the green writing in the main part of the page to match the orange or even the fine blue border. Or maybe both by changing the black descriptions of the photos as well. Just a thought. I don't mind the green in the bottom but I find it distracts from the wonderful photograph in the centre of the main part of the page.

Totally agree with changing the scroll bar to match.

I like the change to the centre photo.
Hey, and add in some alluring descriptions in your photos alt attributes (rather than just 'rear view' and 'sea view' lol)

Thats the problem with experimenting - sometimes you forget to change things back.........lol.....btw: that colour is in BV's dropdown list.

    Hi Sunchaser

My browser (Opera) doesn't display the alt words, only the link
but I have started to change them as they are displayed in IE.

Your comment made me go back and add some text to the actual pictures, so thanks my friend........oh and dont worry about the extra work, I love it..........lol

David the green writing for your links. Once it was always quite an attractive blue. Now on many sites it is neon green. Yours is neon green with a rollover colour of purple and a visited colour of blue which matches the skinny blue line bordering your page. What if you reversed the green and blue.
I am on IE so maybe that makes my colour choices.

I don't see the bright green links - they look blue to me (unless you've changed them!) Crazy how things can look different in different browsers.

With your alt attributes - I like your two top descriptions much better now (than 'sea view 1' and 'sea view 2')
'"View from Illetas Island" is good! Maybe make the other one "Enjoy a scenic walk at Illetas, Mallorca."
People searching google images for Illetas or Mallorca might land on your site if you have a couple of alt descriptions containing those words.

    Looking good!

    Hi Sunchaser

Checked with a couple of different browsers on the green link item so I didn't change them.............

    Gradually changing the alt links.............thanks

Have now made my home page a little more interesting(I hope) by adding a circular mouse hover over the centre picture , as well as the normal
    click thumbnails option.

    Hi David,

Just wanted to let you know that I like the changes you have made to the pop up photos since first asking for feedback.
The only thing that still hits me is the color scheme. I would prefer a pacific blue or mediterranean blue for the main colour contrasted with another colour that is not the mustard yellow. But hey I am not an interior designer just a Piscean.

But well done to the webmaster.
    Kind regards
    Alex

But well done to the webmaster.
Tested the colours with 3 different browsers and could not see that mustard yellow.........but I have changed the top boxes borders to blue now just in case.............thanks for your input and your comments.

    Hola narobe

Hi David, i didn't mind the orange border you used but I also like the ultramarine. I love the border around the centre photo. looks like a painting mount.
    Just 2 suggestions.
    1. The bottom box needs to be a smidgeon smaller to allow a gap on the left hand side between the page border and the box border. I feel that you need a very small gap between the bottom of the page border and the bottom of the box border as well
    2. I think the page border needs to be the same colour (or a completely different colour) as the blues are so similar.
Well one more suggestion. Just for you to check out as it may not work.
What if you removed the box around your header. It seems to be creating a lot of lines in that area and may be visually more appealing with out the line. If it does not work could you move the two side boxes down a tiny, tiny bit so that you have a slither of background instead of a thick line where they overlap on the top box

ps don't know how to work the friendship thing back to you Do i send u a request?

    david,
here are some things i found,

    marineland page- not centered
    scuba diving page- not centered
    private beach pic- pixelated

lounge page- "ensuite bath" (upper right) has a linked image next to it that goes to 2nd bedroom pic i tho't it would take me to pic of bath
home page- extra space before "private beach" in header, pic to left of header has title, pic to right doesn't
    scuba page- not centered
    video page- not centered
belver castle video link- doesn't link to castle video
    hope this helps!

Due to the fact that the above pages contain Iframes, I could not use the centering facility, so I just moved them to the right a little.

Will play around with them a little more...........

ouch.....missed that one.....will correct the link.

home page- extra space before "private beach" in header, (corrected)

pic to left of header has title, pic to right doesn't (both have alt tags ?)
    scuba page- not centered
video page- not centered (same as above centre comment)
belver castle video link- doesn't link to castle video
will remove this link as the video has been removed.
    hope this helps!............Really helped a lot....thanks Charlie

i don't know if this helps but i open up all my pages in bv and then click from page to page to see if certain "same" elements are in the same place per page, comparing each to the first page. there might be a more sophisticated
    way, but that helped me.

An Iframe can be used in many different ways.....the centre picture in my website is an Iframe.

The Marineland page is another website page within my own page.

It enables you to put a page within a page....

Take a look at the Iframe video tutorial. (click on video tutorials at the top of this page)

I am sometimes working on 2 or 3 websites at the same time, so some small detail will occasionally get missed, or put off for a few moments.

I did actually see and note some of the items you mentioned, but you put them back into the front of my mind........thanks charlie....I am off to fix them now...................
