Ok I would but your site says I'm missing plugins to view your site...would that be Quicktime or what?
If you please respond, I will consider returning.

Hi waggers
Being ex Royal Engineers, I spent quite a
while browsing through your well laid out and interesting site.
Some of the coloured text was a little hard to read (in the headers) but I liked the music.......stirring stuff.
Are you still working on your merchandise page, as I just see empty boxes.
You also might want to verify your starred fields on your contact form
as at the moment blank replies can be sent.
Good work for a worthwhile cause............
Ahh...twas the music I was missing, funny how in Firefox I had to load plug in to hear but in Explorer it offered the plug in but still played the music without it.
Very good work...navigation and page changes are smooth.
Nice content and layout.
I like it.

Hi David.
Sorry to take so long responding but I've been unable establish a connection to the Forum.
Thanks for your review. Coming from yourself, I consider it as a high compliment.
Yes, the merchandise page is still being finalised as I'm waiting on some images that I want to include. (A picture's worth a 1000 words . . . so they say.)
Several other pages, notably the Nominal Rolls, are also to be finalised.
You mention verifying the starred fields in the form. I don't know how to do this. Can you please advise?
Thanks again for your kind words. They are truly appreciated.

If you look at the form properties - validation
you should be able to work out what to do.
If you have already done that then
Make sure that your form name doesn't contain any whitespaces. In example, if you have named it "Contact Form" , it should be renamed to "Contact_Form" or "Contactform".
White spaces break the Javascript function that validates the form.
good luck with your website.
I'm a real newbie to this forum so what I have to say may not mean much as I am still struggling with my own web site. The only thing that I would caution would be the music playing once loaded. I know this is what you want but I was told that it's not always a good thing. Especially if someone is looking at your site while at work! I too had some nice classical music with mine but took it off for that reason. I couldn't figure out how I could install a button to allow the viewer the option of listening or not.
Nice website but you might want to consider spell checking due to there were several misspelled words like Favourites
But altoghether nice layout and no offence but i never install quicktime so i bypassed that active x
Keep up the good work even i have misspelled words on my website but i'm working on it lol
Jim
Hi Jim,
Thanks for reviewing my site and your input.
The word 'favourites' is an instance of the spelling differences of the same word in our respective countries. Like 'nite' and 'night', 'tire' and 'tyre', &c.
You could say we're two great countries separated by the same language.
Nevertheless, as it's spellled 'Favorites' in IE your comment is perfectly valid and I'll make the corrections.
Thanks again for your valued input.

Hey Waggers,
If you use spell check with Australian, New Zealand or UK English your spelling is correct (as you already pointed out). As your site is mainly aimed at Anzacs I would not change the spelling, just my opinion. I imagine a lot of the blokes who may use the site probably studied at the same time or earlier than me. So keep favourites.
Love the site, I agree about music normally, but Anzac Day is my favourite patriotic day of the year and 'Click go the shears' works for me. Aside from that, choices for websites need to consider the demographic they are aimed at. If you had music on a sales site I would click away immediately. Never did like Muzak (even worse now when you never actually get to speak to a real person on the phone) and we all have different tastes.
One question. Why the heck do you need the paymasters name? Did he miss you out?
Hi bysandra,
Thanks for your wonderfully candid review of the site. It's pleasing to know that it was a somewhat worthwhile expenditure of your time, especially if you liked the music!
On the subject of 'Favourites'/'Favorites' I've decided to go along with the spelling used by IE as that is the spelling visitors will find on their IE browser. I guess it's a case of "bite your tongue" and "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."
I feel I have found a kindred spirit in our mutual dislike of that which has annoyed generations . . . Muzak. And if you were ever unfortunate enough to be put on hold to 'tubular bells' you might begin to understand one possible reason for the increase in suicides. (Just kidding, I think ???)
Anyway, I digress.
The name of the Paymaster is a question that was asked of me by a mate with whom I served. I couldn't remember so I thought I'd put it to the Forum, hoping for an answer, so that I might be able to answer his question.
But NO, the Paymaster didn't miss me out. He just didn't pay me enough !!!
Thank you ever so much for your review. It is genuinely appreciated.
Regards,
waggers
Hi, sites looking great.
If your musical? try looking at much of Mike Oldfield's Tubular bells music "backwards".
He was on a UK program just a few months back & played the original classical rendition as normal & then backwards. Hay presto! backwards it was Tubular Bells.
Just cant remember what the original classic orchestral piece was. LOL
Good luck with the site.
