Arrow Tell the World on the Internet

    Hi,

Here's my new site called www.telltheworld.net. I'd be grateful for any constructive criticism and if anyone wants to fully test it by paying for a message, I'll gladly give a 20% discount for one month from today. (Enter voda for the discount voucher code on the order form).

Regardless of response or the website's success, I want to say that although I still have lots to learn about creating websites, I've thoroughly enjoyed working with BlueVoda. It's the main reason I chose VodaHost and it proved a good decision.

    Hi there,
What a great idea! It looks good, very friendly, easy to get around and all the links I tried worked. Well done and good luck with your enterprise.

    Well thank you Amanda,

How strange that you should be the first to respond and we are doing basically the same thing in completely different ways.

Thank you all for your encouraging comments. I'm still going through making improvements, like adding a hit counter and revising the Page Property Titles to make them look better when the page is in a browser. I guess you never really finish!

Question Re: Tell the World on the Internet

Yes, Anon. I noticed that once on the form. It was as if a bit of the previous browsed page was still showing over the form. When I pointed the cursor at the offending text, it disappeared to reveal the real part of the form. Weird. I'm not techie enough to know why or how to rectify.

Question Re: Tell the World on the Internet

I'm still tweaking the site and have a couple of problems someone may be able to help with.

    1. Sounds on navigation buttons. I tried to add a sound when you point at one particular navigation button and although it works on the test, it doesn't work after the page has been published. Maybe it doesn't work if you have a mouse-over effect at the same time?

    2. Combobox and Textarea. Is it possible to have the value or initial value disappear when you click into the box, like it does when you log in to this Community Forum area?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    David
