You saved you home page as Index (with a capital "I") you need to save it as index with all lowercase letters, always use lowercase for your page names. Resave it and republish.

the site works but one of the pix is missing live but shows up in BV... ??

thx... i had done that but it didnt work but it worked this time, but i removed all the text that was with it.. could putting a lot of text in the pic description cause problems?

One more thing, if you plan on chronicaling your hair growth over a long time, I would sugest going back and resizing your pics, so that in the future the page will load quicker. You can down load free pix resizer and use that to help.
