Thread: please review updated site

Hi all
just finished updating this site and would like some feedback. www.princess-bride.co.uk
I had some difficulty with getting it to appear clean in all browsers, so I just focused on IE and Firefox.
Please note that the target market is in the UK and Ireland and the spelling reflects this. - I hope!!

Hello Mark,

Your website look good I have a few suggestions for you.

* Center all pages - creates a nice balance, remember people with higher resolution monitors will see a huge space.

* Go a bit easier on the pink - the pink looks nice but it seems there is an
overload and causes an extremely busy look. Hard to focus on each
section. I would keep the color scheme but try to keep bright pinks to
a minimum, too much is unpleasant for the eye.

* Make the navigational bar more profound - it was hard to find at first
with all the color mixtures. I actually spend a few seconds wondering
where it was, a thought a viewer should never have.

Perhaps an easy solution is putting the headers in pink and the content gray like on the price list page.

Just some suggestions to help. Your design is off to a great start, with a simple and effective design. Just needs some tweaking.

I agree about the pink, but Lori loves it. I can feel a negotiation coming on!

Haha... I love colors too, but I think simplicity should always come first.

If I repeat anything thats been mentioned, then I apologise

1) I would centre your pages
2) you have a broken link http://www.princess-bride.co.uk/priceshtml and you can see why, there is no dot between prices and html
3) I would put a footer on each page. You know the sort of thing, page links, copyright info and so on
4) Your contact page opens up in a new window...not good...lol
5) On the home page, I find it difficult to read the black text across the womans chest, might be better underneath or better still a column specifically for your testimonials.

Hi Darren, Thank you for your input I will take it on board. You choose the right time to come, not too hot and the prices are back to local level! Maybe we´ll see you in nov. as for the womans chest - who needs to read the words???? lol.
