Thread: opinions please, on new site

hi all,
this is my second site with bv, and i think i've learnt a bit from the first one, but would like constructive criticism, if needed.
my technical capabilities are limited,but it does what i need display wise, if a tad long-winded to create...
i haven't finished all the sections , you can only see larger images for the first 5 sections, still working on it now...
what do you think?
does it look ok?
does it work ok?
do i need to do more to inspire you/customers to buy?
as i don't have a day-job anymore, it's even more important for me to sell my work to support my family, so anything i can do to make that more likely has got to be on my priority list.

Like the site with all the interesting images & like the background, but found it a bit distracting & hard to read the text. Might be better having a solid coloured shape behind the central images & text areas.

The black text on a dark background is hard to read.

It seems that your chosen background is a part of your
subject and what you want to present.

If that's the case, then a light color text would be
easier on eyes and easier to read.

I agree with the above that the text is a little hard to read. Also, you might want to add a Home link to your other pages? Or maybe put your links on top? Just my opinion, but might make the viewer more apt to explore(:

Great site! Loved the pictures btw! I would avoid the pop up when you click on a paricular picture or at least have your menu bar available on that page. I agree that you should use only white text as the black text is a little difficult to see. Again, great pics.

thanks for all taking time to look and comment.
I'll try it with lighter text, but quite often found too much white text hurts my eyes, so thought it might be like that for most people.
I'll get onto a home button too...
