Thread: New website. Comments opinions suggestions appreciated

Now on line www.innovativefundingresources.com a site I have put together for a friend so the content is his but the design mine.

Just to make sure, at a bare minimum, do the following:

1. Title on a page should describe, in a given number of words,
the business it presents to the world.

2. All large images should have alt text.

3. Make sure all img tags have height & width attributes which you do.

4. The terms used in the page title should be found somewhere on the page.

5. Your first paragraph is the most important. It should have your primary keyword tags for the page.

6. Make sure all keywords are on the page if they are in your keyword tag.

7. Treat each page as it is the home page. Together they make website stronger.

looks good! You said the content is your friend's so I haven't been through the whole site. I did check the DR page, though, as you may remember my interest in the island. So, maybe you can advise him/her of the following I found on the DR page:

One of the main reasons the Dominican Republic is so well-liked is the vast beaches that cover over 1000 miles of the country’s coastline along the Caribbean Sea.

and....
Each group represents a different region and town throughout Dominican Republic.

will all your visitors know what this means?? :)
Caribbean where you get more bang for your dollar, euro, or pound.

The tourist numbers in the last couple of years have increased and so has the spending by Americans, Canadians, Germans, Russians, Brazilians and Venezuelans

how many airports are there actually? "several" implies more than 3 or 4 LOL As the top Caribbean holiday destination, DR has several international airports which allow tourists

Thanks for your comments and corrections which I will do for him. I had to do a lot of "editing" on his original copy in the first place for all the pages! I know exactly what you mean about the "bang" expression lol! The normal term is "bang for your buck" but as this is the DR it can clearly have a double meaning and is true in both respects.(or so I am told!)

Thanks for the comments and hints. I use an SEO programme to check the items mentioned to try to keep the site overall and pages as seo friendly as possible.
