Thread: New website, please review

I am almost done with this website. I would really appreciate your input. Thank you.

I like it looks great.

You can tell you put some work into it. Here are a few things I noticed.

1. Your heading, house of praise, church of G-d" made my vision blurry and eye hurt. Use should use a different color. Your blue and red and both very dark colors. Colors need to be different. check a color wheel online to see which color works best. you need a contrasting color that is opposite the color red, not next to it on the wheel.

2. Your go menu at the bottom of the page does not work. If you have links on it they cannot be reached probably because the marquee above it or the image below it, is on top of it. bring the go menu to the front to solve that problem.

3. "Church of G-d" link is confusing because it take you out of your site (did you make it as well?! Should we be looking at it too?!) which some may infer that to mean that you are not legit and are trying to perhaps scam people. I would suggest moving it somewhere else with a few words that let people know they are leaving your site such as "check out our other site" or "see what name-of-other-site is doing".

4. All your pages, except for you home page, stop at the bottom when you scroll without giving it a space to see some background. It should be uniformed. After going from the home page to a different page it felt like my mouse was stuck when I couldn't continue scrolling just a little to see that that was the end of the page.
5. I'm using Firefox. When I tried clicking on "email" under the eagle I got the following warning:

"This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect
securely to www.rehobothhouseofpraise.org:2096, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified."

When I get these type of this, I say goodbye to the site forever to protect myself from viruses or or malicious programs and a bad taste remains about the site. I don't think a church would like that type of regards.

Hope this helps you. I would really like for your visitors to feel welcomed. You don't want to have a church seem untrustworthy...

We have to agree with Adir,
The "House of..." title is difficult to see. The color needs to contrast more with the background.

The prayer request page from the contact page does not work, insert your link.

Apart from that, and the other comments made by Adir, your site is coming along quite nicely.
