Thread: New Look..Please check load times

Hey everyone, Hope all had a great holiday...Now back to business..lol I wanted to change my look and need to get a response if you all like it and if it loads well...A lot of work to do, so just want to make sure it goes over well here before I do all that work moving everything over..None of the links work yet..

Just Kidding! Yes, it's much better IMHO. It's wide, though, so some will have the ol' side scrolling issue.

I noticed you use the Flashvortex menu bar on the older site--so did I, on both sites on my sig link. They've been adding new stuff lately.

ha ha..very funny, now I'm having a problem publishing it as the main page..I can publish all pages in PHP..Can't I ?

It looks good Sharon and loads quick.. Yes you can publish it as index.php but you have an index.html as well. You will need to remove the .html page if you want the .php page to be shown when the site is first visited.

Thanks Darren...I'm not a good one for change but I think it will look better..Although I like the new one better..I wish I could think of another look..A different way to make it easy for folks to see all we offer..Plus make it easy to find what you may need..Oh well back to fix things...haha

You have 550kb in just images & about 700kb in page total. Its ok to say it loads fine with broadband, but what speed is the broadband? Also are you catering for everyone or just those with broadband. I would personally reduce the amount of images & their size in kb's by at least half if you want to please everyone on loading times. 150-200 is what you should aim for with your opening page.
