Thread: OK. It's addictive - here I go again.....

Oops, I did it again. I just love building websites with BlueVoda.

I've bought what I hope is a cracking domain name and have built yet another new site. I received some feedback months and months ago about having what I do actually in the domain name. So with that in mind I have created Luxury Birthday Cards. It means a rehash of my others but it'll keep me busy.... and stop me purchasing domain names for a bit... lol.

I hear you Amanda, I'm starting another this weekend! It's such a great package. I agree with having a domain that describes your site is very important, it helps people remember your URL as well as searching.

That said, you new site is really beautiful as are your cards. I think if you just keep adding to your "inventory", you will do really well - everyone loves variety.

I would definitely add an inside view to your popup gallery On your form, you might also add a field for "Alternate Verbiage" or "Customize Message".

I was looking at your prices too, are you sure you are charging enough? Here in the States, we regularly pay about $4 for a standard card - way too much, but they sell. You could probably get quite a bit more, perceived value is an integral part of pricing strategy. Good luck! You do just wonderful work!

I own about 2 dozen domain names - have 5 sites I call live - and one that is live while I'm building (to try to get out of the Google sandbox sooner) Need to move 3 stores over here (means rebuilding them - one with 500 + products) Fun it is - I know what you mean! Keeps us sane, doesn't it?

I have just checked and cannot find a post by you asking this sort of question. However a good place for you to start would be the following link, which is where this question has been addressed once before. Also if you do a search (top of forum page) there are pages and pages of help and advice about setting up sub and add-on domains. The following link is just one and includes a link for the video tutorial about the same subject.
