Thread: The First One

Hi All,

This is the first one, I've been working on it for ages when I've had the odd five or ten minutes spare. In constructing this I've done everything wrong and have had to redo everything over and over! It would have helped if I'd discovered this forum a lot sooner......
now I know there's going to be overlapp problems I'd like to know how bad it is.

looking good the links work well but alot of the pages seem to be named index plus theres two pictures over lapping the text english warbow by about an inch.

I can see 'English' and the top of 'Wa' only, the rest is covered by photographs. Cool site, cool hobby. You should check out that ancient English Law that is still on the Statute Books - about all men between certain ages having, by law, to have so many hours of bow practice a day! Thanks for that. I'd recently found out about the overlapp on the index page and had left it delibrately to see if was picked up by more people sooo..... I'd better sort it then!
There's loads of old laws still on the books (i think), aparantly I can shoot scotsmen coming over the border!

The first page on my pc looks good but on agin court 2002 you still have some overlapping.

Ahhhhh, the penny drops, this is a scripts thing. I wrote the page using ALS Script if you don't have that then IE use's a standard script (I think). AlS script at a font size of 72 looks about two thirds the size of some other scripts, so if your browser displays it as another script then it takes up more space than the original. I've changed it to Edwardian script, does that resolve it?

I don't know if you've noticed it yet, but when I check your gallery and go to video's, there seem to be no video's on there at all,can't watch them i'm affraid:s (i do see all the titles and such)

But other then that, looks quite cool and funny as well...

Hmmm, just double checked when you click on the video page it brings up a list of links to video segments. If after clicking on those you don't get the actual video it may be that you've got a slow connection or you don't have quicktime. Has anyone else had any problems with the video?
Glad you like the rest of it we spend most of our time behaving like big kids!

On the agincourt page, the "2002" is overlapping the "Waterside archers" text
