If its this site ? http://www.trishaliciouscakes.com/index.html i would of personally had a plain background & the same on all pages. Find it a bit distracting from the items you want to sell.
But! this is only my personal taste.

Your cakes are fab!! The navigation buttons you have chosen, really need to be applied to a white background. If I were you I would replace them for rectangular ones. or perhaps leave them as they are but put a white rectangle shape behind them. Position it below and as wide as your blue banner and stretch it down to just below your buttons.
