Thread: Honest critic needed about Golf Club website

Its been a while, but i am back. This is my first website in a few months, so I truly need your honest critic..bad or good.

Hi Carla,

A few things on a quick view of your site.
1 - The bottom nav is in dark blue against a dark blue background so it is hard to see,
2 -The Photo Gallery could use some captions with the pics.
3 - Our Sponsor - Advertise - and Photo Gallery are the same!
4 - Links is bringing up a 404
5 - No links to Rules of Play and Nomads Constitution if that was your intention.

Dark blue background flashes before site fully loads 1st time.
Links button gets 401 error.
Overall, the site looks good and works well.

I like your banner. I would change the color of Charlies pictures background. Its blue, but is not matching anything.

Agree with Konrad and also would add Golg Club in the title.
Makes more sense like that: Northern Nomads Golf Club South Africa.

Nice, clean layout.

I don't like the fact your banner images are distorted, having been improperly re-sized (they are all "stretched' horizontally: everything that should be round is oval, and things are "fatter" than proportionally they should be). Consider re-sizing and re-formatting them using a proper tool, even if it means downloading free and using PixResizer from VodaHost.

Also, you have not implemented any simple META or pre-optimization whatsoever, which will actually score heavily against any valuation for your site. Consider entering simple Keyword and Page Description for each page (via Page Properties) at least, in order to forestall any negative results.
